GONG XI FA CAI!!

HUAT AH!!!

Today is the 7th day of the First Lunar Month.. Ren Ri, its everyone's birthday todae..

Anyway, I'm in the office now..
Long wordy post ahead as I've nothing better to do at the moment.

This is a super tiring week..

This year Lunar New Year (LNY) is not as happening as the past..

On LNY eve, I woke up at 5am to accompany my mum to Ubi Road to pick up brasied ducks and roast chickens for my maternal granny and aunts.. I reached the shop around 6.10am, and a long queue has already formed.. So I joined in the queue for the chicken, while my mum queue for the duck (2 different stores..) Its all the elderlies who are queing, I felt abit out of place, but yet excited.

A couple hours later, after depositing the staff at my granny's house.. I went home and bake cookies for my aunties.. In total, I made 6 bottles of chocolate chip cookies.. I improvise the cookies, and it not only looks good, but taste just as good.. So after the cookies are done, my mum sent me down to my paternal grandparents house..

Upon reaching, I realised my aunt has already whipped out plenty of food to pray to the ancestors.. So well, I ate a hearty meal, and went to sleep.. (I woke up at 5am kae..) Woke up at dinner time, and I continue to eat.. =x

And after much nua-ing around and mahjong, we left around 12plus in the morning and reached home around 1am.

First day of LNY, as usual.. Went to my maternal granny house.. This is the first LNY we spend at the new house.. (their old house at River Valley got en-blocked).. The new house is so small!! Not enough to house all of us.. So we didnt stay very long.. Then we made our way to River Valley, to pray to my grandpa, then to a temple in joo chiat.. All these while, I was tasked to sit in the car and wait. Coz I was wearing a new pair of heels which is about 3.5inch, so I could hardly walk..

Then went back to my paternal grandparents house.. Where I promptly fall asleep again.. =p

Woke up for food, then played abit of blackjack with my aunties, uncles and cousins.. Lost money. =(
Then xiang came over to pick me up around 1am, and we went Tampines for a show.. Watched (not CJ-7, not Ah-Long, not Jay Chow..) Sweedney Todd - spelling wrong right..

Second day of LNY, I went shopping. Only DFS was opened, so went down with my mum to get Clinique cleansing set and some make-up.. Then coz ALL shops was closed, we left after a couple of hours and she sent me down to xiang's house.. Nua abit more at his house, then went to Tamp for dinner with his family.. Then we caught another show - CJ-7.

Third day of LNY, after so many days so nua-ing I am really getting used to it. Sleep slack eat, sleep slack eat.. Drove down to Tamp around 3pm to meet Jere, Qian and Xiang for a movie - Ah Long.. After that went to XW house at Jurong.. Then we went to Jurong Point for more nua-ing and food, then I send them all home..

Forth day of LNY, I've got friends to come over to my house.. I baked some butter cookies in the morning, then when Jere came over we bake some chocolate cookies.. And slowly more pple started coming in.. All in all, everything was not bad.. They mahjong abit, blackjack abit and Jay Chou concert abit more.. Company was great as my besties came over too.. Xiang won money, I think I break-even..

I slept at 2am, and on the Fifth day of LNY, I started work.. -_-"
I practically zombie the whole day..

Office gave ang bao.. Its 80bucks each! My on my.. This is a generous company.. =p

Then wanted to have an early romantic valentine's day dinner with xiang (coz I've school on Tues and Thurs, and he has classes frm Tues to Thurs), but somehow things doesnt work out.. But the night ended with a stroll at Keppel Bay.. A very quiet and romantic place.. =)

And yesterday, Sixth day of LNY, I started school... -_-"

Today, it'll be home sweet home after work.. Need to do an online quiz..

But this weekend, it'll be more visiting!!

Going to Jere's house on Sat, and my Yi Po's house on Sunday..
And we have already lined up a mahjong session next Sunday.. -_-"

Overall, this has been a wonderful holiday. Except for a little hid-cup here and there..

TGIF!!

Suddenly, I missed the days where the girls will all dressed up in a color theme to work..

Well, but Friday at this new place is not that bad either. Its a dress down day, so noone will do so much as batter their lashes at you even if you come to work in bermudas and slippers.. Its been ages since I last wore my jeans, so well, at least I could still fit into my old jeans comfortably.. I feel like those poly days, where I go to school in T-shirt, jeans and sneakers.. (oh yes, I'm wearing my old orange checked sneaker (I bought in HK in 2002) that I used to wear on a daily basis to school..)

I am adapting better at the new place.. No worries to those darlings at KM kae. I am surviving well here. =) They have 2hr lunch breaks on Fridays, so I only need to work 7 hours..

Anyway, CNY is coming!!

I am excited.. =)

I bought a new red top from Guess (coz I realised I do NOT have a red top after the weekly Friday color theme..), and also another pair of jeans.. And I am surprised how fast jeans have "evolved" over these years.. Back then, Levis only have 577, 599, 593... But now.. they have dozens and dozens of series, and I have totally NO idea whats the difference between them. So anyway, after much "dashing" around with Qian a couple of weekends back (coz shops are closing..), I settled on a pair of Levis girls "sumthing sumting sumting..." And it cost me $140 after 20% discount. -_-"

And ermm.. I still got a new dress, and ermm.. actually alot more new clothes and shoes.. hehe. All purchased in the name of CNY.

More baking news!!

Did I mentioned that I baked some cookies for Jere for his birthday.. And he said its nice! So did others who ate it..

*Jere you're not pacifying me de rite.. Its really nice right? - shot you a murderous look *

But anyway, I do enjoy baking.. And I think my cookie skills are still not that bad.. And so, my aunts requested me to bake cookies for them this CNY.. =) I'll bake it next wednesday, to ensure its freshness.. and btw, NOT all aunties bake kae.. Try grabbing a couple of aunties on the road and ask them if they bake.. They might be experts in steaming fish and can do up fantastic sweet & our pork, but I'm sure NOT ALL AUNTIES BAKE!

*This is not even consider stereotyping aunties when assumptions are made that baking are aunties activities.. This is simply gibbish tok with no factual grounds...*

And youngster nowadays, at least a couple I do know, actually spend good money (is it S$60 or S$80) to go learn how to bake CUPCAKES!! >> Jere you also know them hor!!

Okie, enough of this bakery talk..

And lastly, I have confirmed with my bf.. I am indeed cute.

My first post of the year.. A tart too late I guess, its already 18th January. =)

But better late then never I guess..

Okie, resolutions for the year!

1. Pack my room
2. Save up my first S$10,000
3. Finish my degree with better grades
4. Sign up for a gym membership and attend it religiously

My resolutions this year are more practical and achievable..

Anyway, a brand new year, a brand new beginning..

After 3 years and 2 mths, I finally left Kingsmen. It was sincerely quite heartbreaking, and till now the departure has not fully set in me. I'm going to miss the girls, and also Alex. The past few mths has brought me working very closely with my boss, Alex.. And I really appreciate all the opportunities and encouragement he has given me. Hope I can have wonderful colleauges and bosses at the new place too!

Oh, and I found a new hobby.. =)

I realised that I love baking.. And I have already tried doing cookies and muffins! Within the short period of time, I have also bought quite an extensive range of baking equipment.. Xiang kind of likes my new hobby.. It makes me stay at home, and girls baking seemed kinda cute. No worries pple, I have yet to poison anyone yet, so please continue to help taste my bakery, and give me your comments kae!

Recently, I have the urge to settle down.

But unfortunately, it's a bit too early for him..

I have to admit that we're still going thru a very sensitive patch of our relationship now. We're still trying to build up the lost trust. At 26, he really think its too early too settle down. But hey, it takes 3-4 years to wait for the house (and I'm not getting married unless I've my own house).. By then I'll be pressing 30. =(

Differences are surfacing.. And both of us are making all efforts to smoothen it. I can feel it, I can see it. But how long can this continues, I got no idea..

Is it really too much for me wanting to settle down now...

I actually managed to slack at home the entire day, without doing anything significant (other then packing my table, watched 4 episode of korean drama and read 1 chapter of the amber spyglass)..

Feeling refreashed and charged after doing nothing for one whole day..

Anyway, went out with Qian yesterday.

Catched Chipmunks (and I really like it) and did abit of shopping (okie.. its slightly more then abit...)

Ended up with a top, dress, lingeries and heels..

I seemed to be buying lots of lingeries recently.. My new peeves.

And this morning, I suddenly realised why am I so broke for the whole month of December.. Its true that I did plenty of Xmas shopping.. But I felt exceptionally broke.. And the truth reveals this morning after I took a closer look at my credit card bill...

I overpaid DBS a couple of hundred dollars for my November bill.. -_-"

Okie.. Its a warm day.. Let me go do some ironing for the time being.. *emiting plenty of housewife and auntie characteristic recently...*

Been ages since I've last blog.

But well.. many happenings.. But I can hardly go recall it bit by bit.

Finally after all the busy prezzie shopping, the festive have finally passed.

Do I have a good xmas, well.. Yes and No. Since when have xmas gathering became a gathering for couples.. So fundamentally its like each friend will still stick to their spouse. Its not that there is zero interaction, but somehow.. Well. =(

But still, its a wonderful xmas!!

And well.. Now for some news.

I've resigned.

After 3+ years here, I have finally decided to go. Even thou my boss offered to bring me to Germany in Feb for an exhibition show which I've been planning for months, and give me an increment which is close to $900/mth and an annual close to $50,000, I still made the deicsion to go.

So well.. life still goes on.

2007 is coming to an end real soon..

Yesterday, I had my last paper.. *yippee*

Very happy, finally its holiday time!! Its time to welcome back my Mahjong and movies and all the dinners.. And of coz, Xmas shopping!!

I am a happy girl.. Jere I want all your games kae.. D/l very slow. And its eating up all my hardisk space. Burn me a dvd full of games.. I want play Final Fantasy..

Its been quite some time since my last posting..

Anyway, its my first paper yesterday. =)

The paper was surprisingly a breeze for me.. =p

Considering on the fact that I didnt exactly study for it, unless labelling the entire textbook, chapter by chapter counts. =p

I can even go clubbing with Jere and Qian last Wednesday till 4am.. And I spent my Sunday at my Granny's playing mahjong with my uncles and auntie.. And I spent my 1/2 day leave on Monday going to an interview, and sleeping.. And ermm.. I was on leave yesterday, I finished my tagging and labelling of the textbook till 12noon, and I watched "My Super Ex-Firlfriend" on vcd.. =p

So well, I'm really counting on luck and blessings for the Finance paper.. Which ermm.. hehe. =)

And today, I'm back in the office.. I'll be on leave again tml.. For my 2nd paper - Public Relations.

And well... A secondary school friend of mine just sms-ed and asked me to accompany her for her bridal gown trial on Sunday. *So exciting!!*

I've been to bridal gown trial with Xiang's sister before.. But well.. I still find it exciting. Especially this is my very own friend.. omg. =)

Wedding bells are ringing all around me...

When's mine coming...

Hate xiang. His simply making me wait and wait. Why am I like so desprate to get married when his simply in no hurry..

Was busy last Friday.. So didn’t have my TGIF post.

Anyway.. Last Friday is a YELLOW Friday.

My favorite color. =)

Okie, not everyone turned up in solid yellow, apparently its not an easy color.. But well.. nevertheless, everyone tried their best. =)_

Didn’t do anything over the weekend..

Ermm.. Actually its more of I got NO PLANS for the weekend.

But eventually, I went Orchard with mum on Saturday. A good day for shopping, but I bought an expensive item, which totally threw me off track and was so guilty that I don’t have the mood to further spend.. (thou I see a couple pair of shoes I like and the dresses are pretty too..)

And Sunday I went for a show with Jere.. Cant remember the show’s name, but its very nice!! Please go see the show… Ermm.. But I cant remember the name of the show… -_-“ And after that went Funan with Jere and my parents to buy a lappie..

And my Granny’s birthday dinner after that. About 50 of us were there for the dinner. We had 5 tables at Hong Xin… But they served 9 course dinner, no dim sum. But well, the food is still yummy!!

Anyway, I am full to the brim. It simply undid all the good that I have done last week.. *sigh*

Its Monday again.. =(

But there’s a public holiday this week, and that makes it a short week!!

Another impromptu post..

Every Friday my colleauges and myself have a color code to dress to. The past 2 weeks is pink and violet. There is another brand new color this week. Even more bright and loud, and I'm actually quite looking forward to it. Stay tuned till Friday kae.. to see whats the color of the week. =)

This has actually become a very corporate event. More and more ladies from other departments had heard about it, and are taking part in it..

Anyway, today has not color code tagged on.

BUT..

We all turned out in one same color... Black.

I really love the girls more and more everyday.

Its funny that everytime after we took photos together, there will be decision to go swimming, jogging and more yoga classes and detox programs coz we found ourselves very fat.

Xiang actually got the cheek to tell me, "How come all the girls in your company so fat ah?"

And his officially barred from my company's D&D unless he wants to get slaughtered by the girls. =x

But the next day, Celes said her aunt said the exact same to her, "How come all like you so fat ah.."

This is a back dated post. =)

On 21st October (Sunday), together with come colleauges from different departments, we took part in the Great Eastern Women 5km Fun Walk.

Its 5km.. Say long not long, say short not short. =p

Anyway, the walk started at 8.30am. It took me 38mins to complete the 5km. Somehow running at a open space makes the 5km feels shorter then at the stadium.

I have been working on my Corp Comm Essay for the entire day. But its really a fruitless attempt as the progress in real bad. There is simply a very negative feeling clouding over me the entire day, but yet I cant put that feeling into words.

Went out for a breather in the evening. Met xiang and he brought me to the cheesecake cafe to cheer me up a little. But sadly, the 60bucks cheesecakes doesnt seemed to be able to perform its magic. I returned home feeling as gloomy as ever.

Its back to the essay.. *sigh*

And I've got a 5km marathon to run (or most likely walk) tomorrow and I'm meeting my colleauges at 7am. I should be going to bed but somehow, the fact that I'm not even halfway through my essay and also ermm.. something else that I dont seemed to be able to put into words, is preventing me from doing so.

And oh yes. I forgot to close my bedroom door earlier on, and that bloody-hell furball of mine actually got the nerve to jump onto my bed and took my softoy. Its a doggie named toot-toot that ah ma and ah lian jie gave me as a birthday present when we're still in poly. That furball actually bite off my toot-toot's nose. God can assure you how angry I was.

Yupz, I spank him real hard after I realised that.

And I'm less then 1mth away from exam.

And I guess I'm missing the time at the riverside..

And I'm missing the time that I do not have so much on my brain.

Very unhappy now.

Due to SGD 684.45.

K got D to place order for some stock. Due to shortage of stock, supplier did inform us before hand that they are unable to send 3pcs of items. I scrolled back to the emails way back then, and realized that colleague K is also in the loop when this was informed.

So when the first shipment came in (less the 3pcs), the shipment cost was catered for.

Okie.. Till this stage, I wasn't fully involved with the whole ordering process. (In other words, I'm still out of the picture)

So when the 3pcs was ready, which was close to 1mth later.. It was already on an urgent basis for these 3pcs to come in ASAP. So instead of coming in through cargo freight, they got it in through courier service.

And the courier now send in the bill for these 3pcs of item, which is SGD 684.45.

Just now, K got his boss B, to come talk to me about it together.

(Okie, some background.. I was put in charge of this supplier. We are the exclusive dealer for this supplier in the Asia region, and by right all orders got to go through me, both internal and external. While D was actually more on the technical support. So D somehow became another window for this supplier..)

So I got a shock you see, suddenly 2 guys came over.. An executive and a director. *sigh*

But they also understand that I'm not in the loop, coz K did not order through me after all..

So B, K and D are now talking about the SGD 684.45..

The conclusion is K is not going to pay for it. And I also got no idea D is going to stuff this bill into where..

Actually.. I think K is in the wrong. Judging from the email correspondence, it is not fair to say that he wasn't informed when he was in the loop all along.

And now D is coming to me to compile the documents, to lodge is against... Errm... D's boss A, I think.

Guys and girls.. This the working world. Where you could be friends at one moment, and the next moment they could turn into foes. So remember to be on your toes at all times.. And protect yourself well under ALL circumstances kae..

Celebrated Mao and Xingwei's birthday at last evening at Spageddies Paragon.

The food is "so-so", but well.. I have a wonderful time.

Extreme Tired.

Felt fat, so I went jogging after I reached home from class yesterday. Started jogging at 11.15pm, ended at 12.05am. Bathed and slept at 12.30am.

It's not very late I know, but after several consecutive late nights, this is definitely taking its toll on me.

And due to not enough sleep, topped with pms, I've got 3 freaking gigantic pimples on my face.

omg.

Damn ugly, not to mention pain.

I am so craving for rest.. But this weekend is burnt with my finance case study, I've got 1 full question on annualties.. Which involves both theory and calculations..

Lastly, thanks to all who have showed their concern towards me. And sorry for those whom I have neglected.

(The above statement seemed to be neither making heads nor tails, but those in concern will know what I'm talking about..)

Bought Lizzie and Toffee to ECP yesterday for a walk.

This is the last time I brought both of them to ECP.. Well, owner busy.. So both my darling are "stay-in-doggies".

Anyway, Lizzie is a damn good girl.. Except for the part where she gets damn excited when she sees cats.

But Toffee that idiot. We hardly walked for 10mins, he started to rest his big fat butt as and when he finds the chance, and refused to budge. I got so damn irritated, not to mentioned embarrassed.. Coz the park is crowded, and people are staring at my"oh-so-cute" dog.

And so, less then 10mins later I was forced to take a u-turn back to the car. And that lazy bones cannot even bear till then. He actually go on a strike, and simple lie flat on the ground. So I got no choice, but to carry him.

His FAT kae.. A 6.5kg Shih Tzu.

His a certified overweight little brat by the vet..

So well.

I didnt get to fully utilize my 50cents parking coupon.

*sigh*

I was back in the car, driving off... 20min later.
