Dear Bloggie,

Just reached home after dinner and movie with TT.

Cant sleep, nothing much to do in the middle of the nite, so just dropping by for a short note.

The rest of the post will be in chinese characters. Not sure if blogspot can capture it, and pardon for all the wrong words. Too lazy to correct it word by word.

Dear Bloggie,

.Friday.

I did not make any plans this weekend.
But I still manage to buzz a couple of friends, and made some last minute plans.

All my girlfriends are busy this weekend; one going for Lasik and other has some personal affairs to settle.

But lucky in the end, I found TT. I got the feeling that he doesn’t feel like coming out today as we have no itinerary at all. But being a nice guy, he still agreed to meet me for dinner. And maybe plan for a mahjong or movie after dinner.

Thou its only Friday, but I can see Monday not too far away from me.

Working here is so depressing.

I think, I’ll start my job hunt this weekend.

Some miscellaneous matters.

1. New hair cut – I’m still contemplating on this. Give me 2 more weeks to think about it, too many datelines for assignments now.
2. Lose some weight – All my jogging kakis disappeared. I’ll make every Monday my jogging day starting from next week.
3. Learn a language – After exams, I’ll go continue on my Korean Language lesson.
4. New laptop/ bag – I need a new laptop. But with that money, I can buy a nice bag to pamper myself. Or maybe I can buy a laptop, and get the organizer that I’ve been eyeing for quite some time.
5. Job hunt – I will start sending out my resume this weekend.

Since I am alone now, I should put my time into good use.

Time and tide stops for no man. No one is going to look back and realized that I am trailing behind. So I should pick myself up and move forward. One day, people will raise their head and found me running ahead of them, smiling.

Dear Bloggie,

Xin is in depressing mode.

I cannot even plaster a smile on my face, and my tear glands seemed to be on standby mode threatening to operate any moment from now.

The hormones must be at work coz I am having my period now. But it got to be more then that. He has once commented that he doesn’t like my “I don’t know why” remark as I know the root to the problems, but I just do not wish to reveal it.

I might be feeling depress because it is a Monday. Director Active is back in Singapore after a 2 weeks overseas trip, and I got to face him today. Not that I have done anything wrong again, but right now I am definitely not in the mood to hear any sarcastic or nasty remark him. But he is my boss; I do not have other options but to face him. I wish to talk to someone about it and receive a comfortable word. But I know that everyone is busy with their life, I do not wish to stop anyone in their track to stop and listen to my grumblings.

I might be feeling depress because I have used my entire weekend to complete my Marketing Communication essay. But at least I have handed it up, and I really feel it’s quite a good piece of work. The entire yesterday spent with QH at the library is well-spent. My referencing made it a rather good piece of academic work. But before I have time to rejoice, my group mate from Management sent me an email, asking me to submit whatever I have completed for my Management group essay tomorrow. The best part is, I have not even started on it. So how am I going to class tomorrow to explain it to them…

I might be feeling depress because I am feeling lonely. I have done so many wrong things, took so many wrong turns, and made so many wrong choices, which land me at this miserable spot now. And worst, I do not know how to put things right. I do not understand why I am such a _____ (I’ve got no word for this blank). Why can’t I just survive alone and why do I so need to fill up that void in my life. There are plenty of people out there who are single and are still happily leading their fulfilled life. Why can’t I join that camp of people instead of bathing in my own pool of misery.

I might be feeling depress because my cell phone has not been ringing. But hey, this is a good thing isn’t it? I’m saving on my cell phone bill… So why am I still feeling so sad about it.

There are plenty of reasons why I’m sad and I know it. But the next problem is how I can make myself feeling better.

This is not the first time I’ve been through depressing mode, if I can do it before I’m sure I can do it again.

Anyway, the just past weekend is not that bad although I have an essay to complete. I spend the whole Saturday working on my essay; I had the first draft out by evening, and went for dinner with AC, QH and DN at Hougang Mall Café Cartel. Cartel served QH and DN, but send our orders to some other customer. We waited and waited till QH and DN had finished their food, but still no food came. Being the typical xin, I made a fuss over it and walk away with 15% discount. DN drove us back to my place, and then we played 2 rounds of mahjong. I emerge the overall winner, walking away with 24bucks.

I was telling QH it’s so true that “when your love luck is like shit, your gambling luck will soar”, but she rebuked me by saying that none of the others are having any better luck in love at the moment. Yupz, that is so true. Looking at the other cases, mine is actually minor.

We ended the game at 3am; chatted some more then they made their way home. At 4am, I can’t sleep. Solitary struck me, and depression sinks in.

I’m really fortunate that I do have fantastic friends standing by me all these while. I really appreciate them for being with me through this difficult period. And I’m actually glad that I have this space to vent out my emotions and thoughts. Words coming out from the keyboard, took a little negative emotion along with them to be posted up on the great wide web.

I think I need ice cream.

Friday, April 11, 2008

Dear Bloggie,

It’s a raining Friday Morning.

I hate raining days.

I do not like to be constantly freezing under the low temperature, stepping into peddles wetting my shoes, and raindrops on my face threatening to smutch my make-up.

And also the traffic is bad, SBS is damn slow… And this resulted in me not having sufficient time to buy breakfast.

So right now, sitting here you have a cold, hungry and grumpy Xin.

I will be meeting up with HY and TL for dinner today after work at Woodlands.

It is so.very.far.

But TL will be bringing her darling baby girl along… So need to find a location most convenient for her. Was supposed to go for Seoul Garden, but TL changed her mind this morning. We’ll be having sushi instead.

Slight disappointment…

I am so craving for Seoul Garden. Not that the food is marvelous, but just that I feel like eating a buffet. And on a cold weather like this, a BBQ steamboat buffet is very welcoming… Can anyone reading this please ask me out for a Seoul Garden dinner real soon… Please?

I am feeling so tired and lethargic. Just like the weather. Its only 10am, but I can’t wait for the day to end…

And oh yes… I feel like eating ice cream now. =)

Ice cream is the best remedy for Xin on a moody day.

Dear Bloggie,

New Achievement at Work!!

I have added 2 colleagues into MSN… =)

This might mean nothing to you, but this shows that I am getting friends at Work.

One of them is sitting right in front of me, and we have been gossiping via MSN on a daily basis about WITNA (Reads: woman-in-the-next-aisle)… And we can sing Qian Li Zhi Wai together on MSN…

She: Wo song ni li kai qian li zhi wai….
Me: Ni wu sheng heiii BAIIIII~~*

The other is a lady from HK whom lunches with me… And we are making plans to go HK during July. She to go home, I to go shopping with QH…

Finally I see sunshine here… (after 3 months)

That reminds me... I'm taking a bonus next week... I've got a special bonus after completion of 3 months... =)
Dear Bloggie,

I just logged onto Facebook, and realised that I've got like 14xx request among other stuff which I've got no idea what is it...

The internet connection is so slow in the office. So its totally not fesible for me to start clearing it here...

But well, there was a period which I was so hooked on Facebook.

Especially on the Pets.

I've got mine super equip-ed with stuff like head gears and weapons for it to fight monsters.

But now... Totally neglected.

Xin grew up, piorities in life changed.

Anyway, its Thursday! One day to Friday.

This is not a fully planned weekend, as I've got an essay to chew on. Its on on 14th April, and till now I have NOT even started on it yet. Yesh, I am digging the earth for my own conffin.

But miracles always happened.

By Sunday, I'm sure I can generate out the essay... (and maybe squeeze a mahjong session in too with my besties. =p)

2 birthdays coming up next week, one is the birthday of someone extremely important to me.

I'm planning to do something special, lets hope nothing spoils my plans..

I really wanted to type more. But I really got nothing interesting to update. Life everyday has been either school or work.. Time no spent on school and work will be with Uncle Chow in Dreamland..

Okie, thats all...

Hope everyone have the best weekend ahead kae... =)

Dear Bloggie,

It’s Mondae!!

Oh yesh! Nothing to be proud of… In fact, I am a bit sad that my weekend simply flew pass just like this.

But nevertheless, it’s another wonderful weekend!!

And I just want to say, I love Gummy Bears!! Can you all just buy me more Gummy Bears! Please choose the packets with more RED colored ones, these are my favorite.

FRIDAE

Of course I’ll not bore you with my work. Let’s jump to ‘after-work’.

I end work at 5pm, reached Tampines Mall 10mins after 5pm. Because I’m early (TOO early), I walked around Tampines Mall by myself. I do not want to indulge myself in shopping, as I’ve done plenty last month, so I simple window shopped. But nevertheless, I still spend a bit on recipe books at the book shop. Yupz, I intend to do some cooking soon. I’ve already tagged some potential dishes that I intend to cook.

So by 7.30pm, I finally got to meet up with my ex-colleagues. It’s been ages since I last saw them, and I realized that I really missed them a lot. I miss the times where we’ll arrived in the office and exchange pieces of juicy gossip, browsing through the COACH and LV website for new arrivals, AND, the color theme Fridaes. *sigh*

But glad to see every one of them so well…

Dinner was at Genki, and after that we head off to Loyang for KTV.

KTV was fun. In fact, KTV with this bunch of people is hilarious. Its more then just sitting down with the microphone in hand, its more drama then that. You have people dancing to the ‘Techno’ Ah Lian songs, the Rock Star ‘wanna-be’ with hair all over the place and of course the classic ballets with them squeezing their face into a prune.

When everything ended, I left with a heavy heart. It’ll be long before our next outing. They have family commitments and some like me, school commitments. Plenty of arrangements are needed before such a big group of us can come together.

But well… =) Keep my finger crossed that the next dinner will be real soon.

SATURDAE

I slacked my afternoon away, found another fantastic Korean Drama Series… And I manage to do an online Quiz, which I scored 90/100. =)

Meet up with my besties AC, QH and KL at Orchard. I have to say I am impressed. No one is late. They accompany me to Lucky Plaza to run a bit of errand, and then we went to Mandarin Hotel’s Chatterbox for dinner. And yesh, I ate that ever expensive Chicken rice. And Chatterbox shifted from ground floor to 38th floor, where Top of M used to be. So this is Chicken Rice with a View…

The serving of food is really huge, ermm… Food wise nothing to boost about in my opinion. And the bill is well, even more impressive. After a very huge dinner, we took a stroll down to take the North East Line.

And Dragonfly, here we come. =)

We got seats at Dragonfly on a Saturday night. I had fun there, we danced, sing-a-long, joked and drink. AC made some new friends, and we met DN there too. Okie, nothing much on the details at Dragonfly… Not that I could remember much anyway…

But at 3pm, AC wanted to leave the place. DN offered to send the 3 girls home. So QH and myself hurried up to finished up the drinks, and we left.

DN sent QH home first… All these while, my bladder is seriously bursting. I needed to loo, badly. So after DN sent QH home, he stopped by a petrol kiosk. I made a bee-line to the ladies. But instead of feeling better, I felt worst. Seriously worst. The urge to puke came.

AC needs the loo too so she chased me out of the toilet. I ended up squatting at the drain, and there comes my super expensive Chicken Rice. I quickly went back to the toilet to wash myself up a little, and we continued the journey home. And oh my… I am seriously feeling terrible by then.

And!

At Eunos Link, we actually met a Police Road Block… -_-“

If memory doesn’t fail me, DN did not drink much, he is defiantly sober and in a good condition to send us home. But nevertheless, he might not be able to pass the breath analyzer. A quick count tells me he had a beer, a glass of whisky or something, and some more when his at Boiler’s with his friends. AC gave me a quick warning on my safety belt (I’m left with 12 points; I can’t afford another 4 on non-compliance of safety belt).

Thank god, nothing happened, the cops waved us away… =)

DN drove a manual car. With every gear change he made, the urge to puke paramount.

I was enduring all the way home, and when finally he pulled up at my door step, I can tell you I have never been more relief to be home. I have not seen DN since 2002, so I seriously don’t think it’s a good idea if I was to puke and dirty his car…

Before I could make it to my own door, I made a final attempt to remove ALL food from my stomach. But all that could come out was seriously water. This means, ALL my super expensive Chicken Rice is gone!!

*sad, and not to mention I felt terrible*

So that ended my Saturday night. At 4am, Sunday morning.

SUNDAE

Blame it on the stupid Bio-alarm God gave me; I woke up at 9am. So I did what I could do best, continue on my Korean Drama Series… I thought I could idle my day away, but well… Thing never turned out the way you thought it would.

And 4pm, I’m back at Orchard. For KTV with AC and DN.

And let me side-track a little. On my way to Orchard, at the MRT, I met WBF. I have not seen him ever since we graduate from Poly. I do not know whether this is classified under a pleasant of unpleasant surprise, but well… it brought back certain memories. And nope, I do not miss him. We didn’t even exchange contacts, I do not see the need to.

So more singing for me, and it ended at 8pm. And DN send us to Kovan for dinner. Ate at the Ponggol Nasi Lemak Kopi Tian, but none of us ate nasi lemak. And he dropped me home after that.

That somehow summaries my entire weekend.

It’s the beginning of another new week. I do not have much to look forward to, life has been fulfilling, but yet lacking in certain aspect.

Its not okie, but give me more time.

I believe I can put everything behind me.

One day.

Dear Bloggie,

Note that I’ve been updating on a daily basis. During office hours.

This is more then enough to show you how bored am I in the office…

Anyway, 3 things I want to share with you today.

I forgot my cell phone.

I left my cell phone on the side table beside me bed. You can’t say that I’ve got a terrible memory, because I can clearly remember where I left it. I felt so handicap without my cell, but just give me 3 hours more. I’m knocking off at 5pm, and I’ll go straight home to be reunited with my beloved cell.

Well, not that I’m expecting any calls/ sms and its not like I’ll have a plenty of sms and miss calls, but I just don’t feel comfortable without it. Its not any big deal, I have survive more then half the day without it anyway.

Lost weight

I have successfully shed of a couple of kilograms. That might mean nothing to you, but I can tell you Xin is a happy gal. And its not only the weight, I can feel a few inches gone from my waist. I can fit comfortably into my 599 from poly, thou its still tight. But I’ll continue to work on it, and I believe that I’m capable to losing a couple more kilograms.

This morning I was telling my mum before I leave the house that I lost some weight. She looks at me, and tells me, ‘Oh, okie. But you can still do with more weight lost…’

-_-

Where got mummies like that. Instead of giving her daughter encouragement, she put me straight down.

But well, its true that ever since I’ve start working I have gained plenty. But at least I’m shedding it off now right. Give me a couple more months. I believe I can make it.

Child abuse (Psychologically)

This is what I just head from my colleague over lunch. It true, it just happened yesterday.

I know we are still not of age to have a kids, and a maid looking after our kids. But just thought its nice to share this story, and to create some awareness…

Let’s name my colleague S.

S stayed at some condo at the eastern side of Singapore. She has 2 kids, a Girl (12 year old) and a Boy (5 year old). And she has a maid to help look after her kids and do the housework.

Her Girl is in Primary 6, and will normally reach home around 4pm. Her Boy on the other hand is in Kindergarden, and the school bus will drop him off at the Condo’s main gate at 11.30am. The maid will have to go down and pick the Boy up to the house. Maid is supposed to cook and feed the Boy, play with him and wait for the sister’s return. Maid is not allowed to leave the house, except to pick the Boy from the main gate of the condo.

Everything seemed normal right. Until on Monday, S called the house around 2pm. No one picks up her call. Gut feelings told her something is wrong, so she called her neighbor to help her go over to her house to check it out. Neighbor went over, and no one is at home. Something is seriously not correct.

She went home on Monday night, and questions the maid. Maid said sorry she sneak out, with the Boy, to post letter.

Okie, provide some background. The main gate of the condo is located at some ulu pandan road, that is totally not accessible unless on vehicles. While the back gate of the condo is nearer to the main road, only to be separated by a small cluster of semi-d houses. Hence to leave the condo on foot, it is normally possible only through the back gate. No issue with leaving through the back gate. But problems arised with you want to come in. A pass is needed, and the Maid has no pass.

When asked how she managed to come in through the back gate, she said she climbed over the walls. S thought it’s not too possible, as Maid is pretty fat, and S checked the back gate, there is no letch of any other object that could enable her to climb over. She got suspicious.

The very same night, S got her husband to go check out the CCTV records.

*thunder*

Maid lied. She did not climb over the gate to open the door. S’s Boy is the one who opened the door. That’s not the issue. Problem lies in how he managed to do it.

The gate, is not the ‘full length’ type. There is a void of approx 45cm from the ground. Maid got the boy to lie on his back, leg in first, and push him through the gate. He will then punch the button to release the gate for Maid to enter.

*graps*

S is crying at this point when she’s telling us this.

S is simply so heart-broken. To have her Boy being made used like this, to be taught to go under the gate like what a thief would do. She showed us the video on her cell phone. Honestly, I think it would break any mum’s heart to see their own kid in that situation.

S is determine that the Maid have to go. But before that, she needs to make a police report, to ensure that Maid have no means ever to return back to Singapore, to do harm to other families.

At the police station, the Cops tried to get information from the Boy. But the Boy said he cannot tell, it is a secret between him and the Maid. The Boy insisted in not telling after an hour. So the Cop got S to leave the room. An hour later, the Cop emerges, and told S that the Maid has told the Boy that Mummy and Daddy are evil. So Boy should not tell his parents about this outing. Should he divulge the outing, Maid would not love him and will not play with him anymore. And during the outings, Maid will bring him to a house, with flowers, cat and dog. And the Maid sleeps with a Man. When Cop asked why Boy is doing all these, did Maid promise him any rewards of any kind, Boy actually says his doing it for the Maid.

I call this plain EVIL.

How could you say that to a 5 year old. And how could you bring a 5 year old with you when you are going to a Man’s house for monkey business. I am no saint, but I think this Maid is simply atrocious, a devil may I add. (And oh, she’s a catholic).

I’m not saying all maids are bad and especially catholic ones. I came from a catholic school, and catholic has been my favorite religion by and far. I think at times, it just boils down to the person itself. S is always a kind-hearted lady, and has treated her Maid with respect. S is definitely not the abusive kind or unreasonable kind. So I guess, the problems really lies in this particular Maid.

Be alert Mummies, especially you leave your young ones at home with a maid. At times, we always thought the children are old enough and would inform should anything be amissed. But this is one classic example of how the Maid has brainwashed the children to let them do as they bid.

Okie, I have not intended this to be such a long post. But I guess I get too narrative at times hence you know…

Anyway, looking forward to the weekend!

I’m going for dinner and KTV with the Kingsmen people tomorrow, I cant wait to see the girls… and guy. And also clubbing on Saturday with QH and AC.

A weekend with my lovely ladies. Cant wait. =)

Dear Bloggie,

Very upset. At work.

Background

I’m under 2 Director. Call one Active, and the other Passive.

Passive is the nice guy, whom is treating me like his assistant. Introducing me to colleagues (read: other Directors) worldwide, and also overseas suppliers (read: arranging to bring me to Supplier’s place for visits).

Active on the other hand, is a NUT. I’ve got to do his admin matters like air-tickets, and also some minor purchases like taking charge of the whole company’s stationary purchase, names cards, etc.

Last week, Passive entasked me to update the Procurement Council Member List. To explain, its to send out the spreadsheet to all Directors, nad ask them to update changes in their own division’s managers (if any).

And that, of coz includes my own Directors… Active.

Story

So this morning, after I’ve edited the spreadsheet I send it out to each individual Director, asking them to update. And 4hours later, just before lunch, Active replied back my email.

Angel,

You DO NOT ASK YOUR BOSS TO DO THINGS FOR YOU. You get the info for him.

If you do not know who reports to me, I suggest you ask XXX (Snr Mgr) for help.

Active (name changed to protect identity)

I was like ‘dot dot dot’.

After lunch, my Snr Mgr came to my rescue. He jokingly asked why I sent it to Active… I told him coz Passive said so. Instructions were to send to all Directors and get them to do the updates.

So Snr Mgr quickly asked me to email the spreadsheet, and he did the amendments, and send out an email to Active asking for some clarifications… I appreciate it. He did all the replying, and saving me from whatever shit I’ve got myself into…

And now, my Mgr just walked over and tell me its okie. Its no big deal, everyone gets this from him.

Conclusion

I feel like typing out my resignation letter this instant.

But guess what, Angel is not a quitter.

What wouldn’t kill me will only make me stronger. (okie, at least let me tahan 1 more year…)

PS: Come to think of it, I was in a pretty good mood this morning coz I manage to negociate the rental of a LCD Projector for Active’s meeting in Shanghai from RMB 1600 to RMB 600. And he just emailed me and praise me ‘Good Job’! He sure have the power to make or ruin my day…

Dear Bloggie,

Had a wonderful weekend. =)

Long wordy post ahead…

Friday

After work, meet up with HY for dinner. Have not seen her since x’mas, so its really nice to be able to do some catching up with her. Met her at AMK, had sushi for dinner… We chatted till the shops are closings, but what to do… There is simply so much stuff to fill up. She is the only one now, whom I have confided in the entire story. HY never fail to give me the ease to open myself up and talk. She never judge, and always have my best interest at heart.

Still not prepared to call it a night, meet up with AY and SS at Hougang. They came pick me up, and off we go to Safra Tampines for bowling. Yesh, you never get it wrong. I’m going bowling. =)

I am still the high-score holder (starting from the back unfortunately) at Kingsmen I think, having successfully bagging the ‘trophy’ for coming in last for 2 consecutive years at their annual Bowling Competition, and no one ever comes near enough to challenge my ‘high score’.

But still, not wanting to stay home alone on a Friday night, I agreed to go bowling with AY and SS, together with SS’s friends. And yesh, I did not fail to meet expectation. I manage to score at 49. A new personal high score record. Although I chipped my nail after the 4th throw, but I really had fun. SS and his friends were all giving me pointers, but I still did plenty of ‘long kang”… And I had fun.

After that around 1plus, a friend drop by to send me home. And just outside the condo beside TP, we spotted an animal on the road. A puppy shih tzu. I made him stop the car in the middle of the road with hazard lights, and both of us went down to catch the dog. Puppy was scare, and he bites me, but nevertheless I manage to coax him in the end and I brought him home. Thou my description sound easy, but trust me its not. We were like running around the road at 2am. But I couldn’t just leave the poor puppy on the road. It’s so aimless and scared, and it’s dashing all over the road by itself. Chances of him surviving are so slim…

It’s just the beginning of my weekend, but happening ah. *smile*

Saturday

Woke up early, coz the doggies was so noisy. Having 3 doggies at home is really not a kidding matter.

Meet AC at Hougang, to buy QH birthday pressie. Then we took MRT down to Chinatown for some shopping. I have all along heard the Chinatown sells cheap working clothes, but have never actually know where the exact location is and how cheap it is. So this is an eye opener for me.

Girls, this is really a cheap place for working clothes. It’s at level 3 at the newly renovated Hawker Centre just beside OG Albert Court. But do not expect it to be air-con with nice comfy fitting room. We are talking about shopping at a Hawker Centre.

AC bought some stuff, and then we queue for the ever famous yong tao fu. The queue is easily 4m long, but I’m really not sure what is so fascinating about it. It tastes pretty normal to me. After the meal, we went back to Hougang, to prepare for dinner.

Dinner is steamboat at my house. I did a count, and we had approx. 15 varieties. A lot right considering its just 4 girls. The bill at NTUC came up to $100; we bought some beers and wine to go along with it.

Cut the story short, dinner’s fantastic. The time spent with the girls was even more fantastic. It’s amazing how much we have grown and mature all these years. Sure, the regular gossips on some old classmates and also some recent updates like what we usually do. But other then that, we also talked about HDB flat, weddings, being future god-mummy to their kids and some other xxx topics. It’s amazing now how the topics discussed changes over the years. We stop eating at 11pm, and we did what we did best. Mahjong.

So with more booze and girlie talk, we mahjong-ed till 6am.

That ends my Saturday. Or it’s more of, Sunday morning.

Sunday

Coz there are 3 doggies in the house, they woke me up at 10am, again.

Supposed to go swimming with HF at 9am, but I sms-ed to cancel it at 6am. No way I could swim when I’m so deprived of sleep.

The house is really dirty with 3 doggies. I couldn’t stand it so I mop the house after I woke up. I so much wanted to get back to sleep after that, but simply couldn’t. The 3 doggies are noisy, my own shih tzu wanted to play with the puppy, but the puppy seemed to be so afraid of it, and kept yapping and running away. With so much yapping, panting and the sound of their paws on the floor, I simply cannot get back to sleep.

So I slack till 3.30pm, AY and SS came over to pick me up, and off to their place. For more mahjong. *smile*

AC played together with us too. And her boyfriend calls from Hong Kong while we’re in the car. He asked what she’s doing with Xin, more mahjong? So I was like please tell him we’re just meeting up for more girlie chat please… I do not want IV to think “xin = mahjong”.

So we mahjong at AY house, and got the maid to buy Ponggol Nasi Lemak for us. It’s so sinful, but it’s so yummy! Did I tell you that my dieting actually works? I have lost 2kg recently, and I can feel my skirts getting looser. I can even wear the levis from Poly, thou still tight, but at least its doesn’t make me uncomfortable.

After dinner and 1 more round of mahjong, we decided to call it a day.

~*~

Actually, I am really grateful for all my friends. For being with me despite me ups and downs. For being with me when I’m lonely, talking to me when I just need to get something off my chest, giving me the confidence I need to move on. Because of all of you, I am sure that I can get through all obstacles. =)

This is a very eventful weekend, thus this post. But I’m sure next weekend will just be as exciting. Coz we’re going out of the house, for more drinking session on Saturday. Not the uncle at void deck beer session, but we’re going to put on our best gears and we’re going clubbing. Can’t wait darlings. =) *and I have totally forgotten about school assignments, omg*

And btw, I have called up SPCA, someone has reported a lost dog at Tampines, which might be the puppy’s owner…

Okie, that’s all for now. Its Monday, hope the whole week will be wonderful for all kae!!

Love,
xin

I’m back from KL!!

DAY 1

When we met that the airport on Friday morning, it occur to us that we both forgot to bring our camera. I really got no idea why did we buy our camera for. Both of us are proud owners beautiful pearl white Sony T10, but it’s seriously under utilized. So we console ourselves that since there are only 2 of us on this trip, and it’s a shopping trip anyway, it might be a bit redundant for photo taking.

So this concludes that the rest of the post will be all in WORDS.

So we happily check in at the Airport at 10am, and reached KL Airport at 11.30am. It’s really fast… After this trip, I seriously recommend everyone fly to KL instead of coach. Its really faster, and not tiring, and most importantly, it really gets you on a holiday mood.

Her uncle came to pick us up at the KL Airport. It’s a 1hr drive to the KL central. We check-in the hotel, and we got a shock of our life… a good one thou.

Our accommodation is at Prince Hotel. It’s a 5 stay hotel situated just opposite the newly opened Pavilion Shopping Centre. The accommodation is fully sponcered by Qian’s Dad, and he generously gave us a 1 bedroom service apartment at Prince Hotel. (Okie, regret no. 1 that we didn’t bring camera) It’s a beautifully furnished room, with a equipped kitchen, dining area, living room area, and of coz a bedroom with a King size bed.

Wasting no time, we quickly put down our stuff, and proceed to KLCC. Which by xin’s standard, it’s a 10min walk from Prince Hotel.

Some points to note to pedestrians in KL

There is seriously a lack of traffic lights on the road.
Even with traffic lights, with the little green man shinning, cars can still horned the pedestrians and drove through the red lights.
Malaysian drivers have no idea whats a ‘Zebra Crossing’. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I always thought ‘Zebra Crossing is a international symbol. NO CARS stop at zebra crossings.

So well, Qian and myself performed numerous spectacular jay-walking stunts, and always end up running across the road, like we’re some fugitives…

Okie, so we’re at KLCC. Its crowded. So by 6pm, we intend to walk back to Pavilion, our plan was to find some good Japanese food there. But when we walk out of KLCC, we realized that its raining, heavily. So we decided to take a cab back to Pavilion. At the taxi stand, we stop 2 cabs… And they daringly want to charge us MYR20 for the trip back to Pavilion.

By xin’s standard, it’s a 10min walk from Pavilion to KLCC. And they want to charge us MYR20!!! Call this day light robbery. So of coz, we refuse to part with the money… We ended up having dinner at Nippon Tei. Which was not what we have in mind a ‘Good’ Japanese food. But, well… we are 2 stingy girls which refuse to part with that MYR20.

But nevertheless, it was a hearty meal with hotplate shells, BBQ eels and guoza… And it cost us MYR100.

Its close to 9pm, and we realized that its still raining. Not wanting to spend MYR20 on cab, we went to the supermarket, bought a MYR7.99 brelly, and both of us walk back to Pavilion.

Reached Pavilion, realized they have late night shopping till 11pm! So we continues to shop and walk…
And finally at 11.30pm, we retired back to the ever welcoming hotel… =)

We had a quick shower, put on the mask, and promptly fall aslp…

DAY 2

Woke up early, and after an hour of preparation both of us was pretty to go… 2 pretty girls decked out in dresses today…

We had our breakfast at lvl 10 of the hotel, away from the usual hotel lobby crowd. This is specially catered for the apartment guests. So well, it’s definitely exclusive, and not to mentioned that the service is more personalized, and the food is not the usual ‘buffet fare’… A quick look around, we appear to be the only Chinese. The other were mostly Caucasians, with a handful of Japanese…

Not wanting to waste too much time, we made our way to Pavilion, and begin our shoe hunt again. We were there till noon, then we decided we had enough of Pavilion, and took a cab to another maga shopping complex – Mid Valley.

We were a little thirsty, and slightly hungry when we reached Mid Valley. So we settled down at Secret Recipe for a break. We chose Secret Recipe over Starbucks, thinking we’re kind of tired, and would want to be served. Rather then self-service.

And this turned out to be A BIG MISTAKE!

The service is HORRIBLE!

So well, I don’t want to go into details… BUT I’ll not give Malaysia’s secret recipe another chance again, unless due to very extreme circumstances.

So we continue our shopping at Mid Valley after the break… Plenty of cardio workouts there. We finally decided that we are very tired, so we settled down at a dainty place, for our medi/ pedicure. This is really a very self-pampering trip… =)

After the medi/ pedicure, we wanted to find a nice place for dinner… Maybe at Pavilion since it’s a much more ‘atas’ place… So there should be plenty more choices since we are really keen to go all out to pamper ourselves. But unfortunately, its raining again. -_-

And as we are super stingy with the cabby overcharging us, we decided to eat at Mid Valley… We look through the directory, and decided on Korean Food. And my oh my. This is definitely a treat. =)

It is a very small shop, located on the ‘balcony’ level of lvl 3. We had a hard time locating it, and when we finally do, we have no regrets. They serve authentic Korean BBQ, all served by native Koreans… 2 girls, and we ordered 2 different type of meat, which the waitress said it’s enough for 3 people. -_-

We had a satisfied meal, BBQ-ing on a cold raining day is so fantastic! And the meal cost us less then MYR 80. CHEAP!!

By then, we have really covered the whole Mid Valley, we decided to take a cab back to Pavilion. And finally, we met a over-friendly cabby, who talked the entire trip… But he charge us based on the meter, like Singapore. The total fare came up to MYR 8, but we paid him a 10 and asked him to keep the change. =)

Its 9pm at Pavilion… We combed the shops again. And funnily, shoes that doesn’t catch my eyes in the morning, caught my eye just then… So we bought some more. =)

By 10plus, shops are closing and we are really bashed. But still not willing to return to the apartment just yet we found a nice pub at Pavilion and we seat down for a drink. I must say that their cocktail seemed to have a higher alcohol content as compared to Singapore. First sip, and you can really feel the punch. Unlike the local ones, which normally taste more mocktail…

We chilled out till around 12.30am, and made our way back to the apartment… I am tired, but I have to start packing. So by the time both us showered, put on another mask and go to bed, its close to 2am.

DAY 3

Woke up bright and early too, went for breakfast at lvl 10 again. We wasted no time, and we made our way to Pavilion. We made appointment for a full package spa at 10.30am. This is a very unique spa, it begins with putting your feet in a pond, and little fishes will swim around your feet, ‘eating’ the dead skin. And follow by a feet, shoulder and head massage. Both of us were very excited about the fishes, and we reached Pavilion at 10am. We shopped around a bit more, I bought more earrings, and finally at 10.30am we made our way down.

Okie, great disappointment. We saw that the shop was not opened yet, and there are 2 ladies standing outside the shop. We approached them, and they told us the shop encountered short circuit last night, and will not be on operation today… *sad*

We were very upset, but nevertheless we do not want to waste our last day there. So we walked to KLCC, coz we remembered there’s this shop we passed by the other day that offers massage services. Both of us did a full relaxing body massage there.

Not the very best, not okie, better then nothing.

After which we walked back to the hotel, the cab that Qian’s dad arranged to pick us up to the Airport is already waiting for us.

And this, is my 3D2N KL Trip with Qian. =)

Okie, what I have buy back:-

3 pairs of Shoes
4 pairs of Earrings
2 Tops

Not a lot I know… but well, nothing really caught our eye.

But we still have a splendid holiday.

Quite wasted that we didn’t bring our camera along, coz there are plenty of interesting happenings that should have gone down in pictures.

I have a most wonderful time with Qian, I thank her for spending the time with me. Being the best companion anyone can ever wished for.

And today is this girl’s birthday, so I also want to wish Qian: HAPPY BIRTHDAY GER!! Still got to go through the formality. I still want to wish you all happiness, and wishes come true. Stay pretty and grow an inch taller, we’ll go in search of our true prince charming together kae. =)

~*~

This trip, also ended the 4yr coming 5yr relationship with Xiang. I truly felt how insignificant I am to him, and I definitely believe I deserved someone better. I do not want to strain the relationship further. I’m not going to talk about this further, just leave things as it is for the time being…

I always thought happiness is in my own hands, but I realized that its not. It takes 2 hands to clap, I cannot create happiness simply out from my own hands. =)

Dear Bloggie,

Much has happened..

Plenty of ups and downs.

I'm fine now.. In alot of ways..

The wedding is over, I have plenty to update about the wedding.. I had so much fun, and I was tearing away when no one is watching.. It is indeed an tiring day, thou I’m not the bride, but I definitely run around more then the bride.. Okie, save this for the next entry, when I’ve got the photos.. But nevertheless, I still offer up my warmest wishes to Adeline and Steven.. =)

My final year semester 1 in school is half over. Till now, so far so good. But I see plenty of assignments due in April. After this long weekend, I seriously need to start working on it.

Work wise, things are getting pretty stagnant. Thou I do not have much work to do in this new environment, but I got no idea why time passes so fast.. Might be the msn. But its nice.. I’m keeping touch with long-time friends like HF, E, BM and J on a daily basis.. And thou it feels good to be paid to msn during office hours, but I think this is not a long term solution. After April, I might start job hunting again...

But work aside, a long weekend is round the corner.. I’ll be going KL with Qian. And due to the biggest joke Singapore ever had made in her Modern History, we will be flying to KL this time round… A 3D2N short trip. For us to catch up on our recent happenings, and also to stock up shoes..

Relationship. Okie, this is a sensitive topic for me now.. Guess plenty of the ups and downs came from here. But well, after so much I realized I do not really know what I want.

One thing I know is, I have grown up. I am no longer that spoilt princess I am years ago.

But that doesn’t mean I do not want to be treated like a princess still..

Well, this is a never ending topic. And I’m not in the mood to discuss it in depth today.

And lastly.. I realized that I do indeed have fantastic friends around me. Thank you so much for waving that light at me when I was at the bottom of the valley. Showing me care and concern and pulling me out. You have no idea how a sms/ msn checking me out meant so much to me. It might be kind words, it might be harsh words.. But nevertheless, I know you meant the best for me. And I really appreciate it.

That all for now.. Hope the next update will be the one for the wedding..

Till then, take care.

Dear Bloggie,

I am super depress.

I simply feel like siting down here and cry..

But as if crying could help..

Dear Bloggie,

I am pretty much single now. Again.

So yupz, I am refusing to attend any gatherings where 50% of the participants are going to bring their significant half.

PS* Ermm.. I am fine with Ivan and Eugene. No worries about it… Coz their ermm.. Vase to us. (Don’t tell them kae...)

~*~

I met up with Ade for her wedding schedule discussions on Friday. And also to meet her friend, the other bride’s-maid-to-be”..

It turned out that both of us are “first-timers”, thank god another friend of her’s (married with 2 kids) joined us for dinner, and gave plenty of pointers…

Apparently, getting married is definitely not an easy task.

Especially when it’s a week away.

She have not got her itinerary done, she got no idea what time to wake up, what time to leave the house, and who should be in-charge of what, what time to reach Sentosa, when to start the dinner, the sequence of walk in during dinner.. And miscellaneous items like the Ang Bao box, the basket for the flower girl to put the rose petals, the “flower brooch” thingie for parents and etc.

But we discussed till 11pm, finally most of the more important stuff were settled.

Anyway, I can’t tell you how envy I am. Getting married at 25 is my dream since 17. (And the guy whom I planned to settle down at 17, called me saying his applying for HDB with his gf some time back. Thou application is not successful coz he don’t like the location, but secretly I am glad it doesn’t work out. -_-“ evil me) But obviously, I don’t even have a suitable partner now.. So disappointed.

At times I’ll look back and ask myself. I’m turning 25 this year, if I could leave till 75, I have completed one-third of my life journey. I really got no idea what have I achieved.

1. I have a job that pays me okie, and a boss that really wants to train me up, planning trips to Taiwan and Japan to visit Suppliers and introducing me to colleagues around the globe, welcoming me to the big MNC environment. But yet I still can’t say it’s a career.

2. I am still trying hard to save up my first bottom-line. Achievable before I turn 25 in July, guaranteed. But meaning I got to give up my Orlando trip in May to DisneyWorld…

3. This is the most upsetting point. I am still no where near marriage. Not even ROM. Not even applications for HDB. Now, not even the “Correct” partner.

Oh yesh, the only thing I have gain, and have gained plenty, is FATS/ WEIGHT.

Thou I’m still trying to shake off that extra pounds, and the diet regime have at least help maintain and control my current status, I am still a distant away from the jeans I wore when I was 20. -_-“

This is a pretty depressing entry. The next one, hopefully, will be better.. =)

I’ve got problems with my laptop; I can’t upload the photos from my camera to it. Time for a new laptop... (This puts me further away from my bottom-line)… I’ve got plenty of photos, and I’m sure more of the wedding.

How?

Dear Bloggie,

I am so upset..

Weeks back, on LNY's eve's eve.. (which is 5th Feb), I've got school on that day. On my way home, I exit PIE at Thomson Road. So I was travelling down AMK to go back home.

The stupid car infront of me "want go dont want go", I was already pretty frustrated.

So.. I was tailing him quite closely. And at a traffic light junction, the light's amber.. And I made a quick dash..

Mistake.

The flashes went off.. And I got captured.

So I recieved the notice, its a 200bucks fine with a 12points deduction.

I'll AVOID that stupid road at all cost now.

Dear Bloggie,

It’s Monday morning!

Hope this will be a fantastic week for all. =)

I am going through a rather patchy part of my life now. Where I am suffering from the impact of my own mistake. I could have turn away from all the unhappiness, but yet I choose to not run away from it, and face all the punishments. I am not sure whether is it worth it or not, but this is my choice. Regardless it turns out good or bad, this is my choice.

Assignment due dates are coming up, but somehow I’ve got such a difficult topic that I really do not know where to start.

Anyway, time for some happy news!

A pretty close friend of mine in Secondary School is getting married [edited] soon, and I’m going to be her “jie mei”.. This is the first time a friend of mine has extended such an invitation to me. So anyway, I have put myself on a “strict” dieting regime, (the jalan kayu roti prata last night with Andrea, Qian and Karen doesn’t count..) I’ll skip breakfast and dinner for the next two weeks, so hopefully I wouldn’t look like a bloated “bak chang” on the 8th March..

And Andrea, Qian and Karen have “unofficially” declared every Sunday from now as our Mahjong day. This is so nice. Thou we labeled each other as besties, but in actual fact we meet only 5 times a year (Birthdays and Christmas).. But you know they’re never too far away from you when you need a shoulder or an ear. But isn’t it nicer if we could meet up on a regular basis to chat about our daily updates.. =)

Recently hooked on a new Korean Drama.. It has 34 episodes, a long-life drama for Korean standard. I watched till 2am last nite. I is tired de loh.

A lack of photos recently I know.. I’ll try make the next one a photo post.. I have yet to show-off my Valentine’s Day flowers from Xiang.. =)

Okie, back to work..

(I hate that irritating auntie who sits a panel away from me.. She has such an irritating voice, and she’s CONSTANTLY on the phone.. -_-“)

Dear Bloggie,

This is a tiring week.

Thou it has just begun.

Went Jere’s house on Sat.. I always loves Jere’s mum’s fried chicken wing.. But this year his sister got innovative and did grilled chicken wing instead.. Its good, but somehow I like the fried one more.. =p

Played blackjack there.. With the poly pple, and Jere’s uni frewns. My luck was good that night, I actually won close to 20bucks betting with just 1 dollar. This is the first time since the LNY I won money.. *smile*

But my luck didn’t stop there.. We proceed to Huili house, for more mahjong.

After 8hours of mahjong, I won a little more money..

Its not the money, but the company is great. =)

We joke and ate more food, and ended the 3 rounds of mahjong at 5am.By the time I reached home and all, I fall asleep at 6am. And I woke up at 10am, to go for more house visiting..

I think I’m really getting old; going without sleep for a night is too much for me.

I am so totally zonked out even till today.. -_-“

There are so much things I want to do, but so little time, so little money.

Things I want to complete soon:-

1. Shopping! More shoes, more clothes and more books!
2. Holiday.. I want to take aeroplane!
3. A new Laptop please.. =)
4. And oh, I need to finish my school assignment soon too. =(

~*~

Anyway, I’ve been thinking of stuff recently. It worries me at times, and set me wondering.. Jere asked me if there’s any regret. I told him Nope. But I really want to know what can I do to correct the way things are now.. I get really upset and unhappy, and I really do not know if I deserve it.

Has my Guardian Angel forgotten about me?
Will he be stopping by me soon?

GONG XI FA CAI!!

HUAT AH!!!

Today is the 7th day of the First Lunar Month.. Ren Ri, its everyone's birthday todae..

Anyway, I'm in the office now..
Long wordy post ahead as I've nothing better to do at the moment.

This is a super tiring week..

This year Lunar New Year (LNY) is not as happening as the past..

On LNY eve, I woke up at 5am to accompany my mum to Ubi Road to pick up brasied ducks and roast chickens for my maternal granny and aunts.. I reached the shop around 6.10am, and a long queue has already formed.. So I joined in the queue for the chicken, while my mum queue for the duck (2 different stores..) Its all the elderlies who are queing, I felt abit out of place, but yet excited.

A couple hours later, after depositing the staff at my granny's house.. I went home and bake cookies for my aunties.. In total, I made 6 bottles of chocolate chip cookies.. I improvise the cookies, and it not only looks good, but taste just as good.. So after the cookies are done, my mum sent me down to my paternal grandparents house..

Upon reaching, I realised my aunt has already whipped out plenty of food to pray to the ancestors.. So well, I ate a hearty meal, and went to sleep.. (I woke up at 5am kae..) Woke up at dinner time, and I continue to eat.. =x

And after much nua-ing around and mahjong, we left around 12plus in the morning and reached home around 1am.

First day of LNY, as usual.. Went to my maternal granny house.. This is the first LNY we spend at the new house.. (their old house at River Valley got en-blocked).. The new house is so small!! Not enough to house all of us.. So we didnt stay very long.. Then we made our way to River Valley, to pray to my grandpa, then to a temple in joo chiat.. All these while, I was tasked to sit in the car and wait. Coz I was wearing a new pair of heels which is about 3.5inch, so I could hardly walk..

Then went back to my paternal grandparents house.. Where I promptly fall asleep again.. =p

Woke up for food, then played abit of blackjack with my aunties, uncles and cousins.. Lost money. =(
Then xiang came over to pick me up around 1am, and we went Tampines for a show.. Watched (not CJ-7, not Ah-Long, not Jay Chow..) Sweedney Todd - spelling wrong right..

Second day of LNY, I went shopping. Only DFS was opened, so went down with my mum to get Clinique cleansing set and some make-up.. Then coz ALL shops was closed, we left after a couple of hours and she sent me down to xiang's house.. Nua abit more at his house, then went to Tamp for dinner with his family.. Then we caught another show - CJ-7.

Third day of LNY, after so many days so nua-ing I am really getting used to it. Sleep slack eat, sleep slack eat.. Drove down to Tamp around 3pm to meet Jere, Qian and Xiang for a movie - Ah Long.. After that went to XW house at Jurong.. Then we went to Jurong Point for more nua-ing and food, then I send them all home..

Forth day of LNY, I've got friends to come over to my house.. I baked some butter cookies in the morning, then when Jere came over we bake some chocolate cookies.. And slowly more pple started coming in.. All in all, everything was not bad.. They mahjong abit, blackjack abit and Jay Chou concert abit more.. Company was great as my besties came over too.. Xiang won money, I think I break-even..

I slept at 2am, and on the Fifth day of LNY, I started work.. -_-"
I practically zombie the whole day..

Office gave ang bao.. Its 80bucks each! My on my.. This is a generous company.. =p

Then wanted to have an early romantic valentine's day dinner with xiang (coz I've school on Tues and Thurs, and he has classes frm Tues to Thurs), but somehow things doesnt work out.. But the night ended with a stroll at Keppel Bay.. A very quiet and romantic place.. =)

And yesterday, Sixth day of LNY, I started school... -_-"

Today, it'll be home sweet home after work.. Need to do an online quiz..

But this weekend, it'll be more visiting!!

Going to Jere's house on Sat, and my Yi Po's house on Sunday..
And we have already lined up a mahjong session next Sunday.. -_-"

Overall, this has been a wonderful holiday. Except for a little hid-cup here and there..

Wishing everyone the best of luck in this coming new year, may the couples tian tian mi mi, may the singles tao hua duo duo, may the studying xue ye jin bu, may the working shen guan fa cai, may the mahjong-ers da san yuan and da si xi, may the black jack-ers ban luck and ngo leng.. HUAT AH!!

Dear Bloggie,

TGIF!!

Suddenly, I missed the days where the girls will all dressed up in a color theme to work..

Well, but Friday at this new place is not that bad either. Its a dress down day, so noone will do so much as batter their lashes at you even if you come to work in bermudas and slippers.. Its been ages since I last wore my jeans, so well, at least I could still fit into my old jeans comfortably.. I feel like those poly days, where I go to school in T-shirt, jeans and sneakers.. (oh yes, I'm wearing my old orange checked sneaker (I bought in HK in 2002) that I used to wear on a daily basis to school..)

I am adapting better at the new place.. No worries to those darlings at KM kae. I am surviving well here. =) They have 2hr lunch breaks on Fridays, so I only need to work 7 hours..

Anyway, CNY is coming!!

I am excited.. =)

I bought a new red top from Guess (coz I realised I do NOT have a red top after the weekly Friday color theme..), and also another pair of jeans.. And I am surprised how fast jeans have "evolved" over these years.. Back then, Levis only have 577, 599, 593... But now.. they have dozens and dozens of series, and I have totally NO idea whats the difference between them. So anyway, after much "dashing" around with Qian a couple of weekends back (coz shops are closing..), I settled on a pair of Levis girls "sumthing sumting sumting..." And it cost me $140 after 20% discount. -_-"

And ermm.. I still got a new dress, and ermm.. actually alot more new clothes and shoes.. hehe. All purchased in the name of CNY.

More baking news!!

Did I mentioned that I baked some cookies for Jere for his birthday.. And he said its nice! So did others who ate it..

*Jere you're not pacifying me de rite.. Its really nice right? - shot you a murderous look *

But anyway, I do enjoy baking.. And I think my cookie skills are still not that bad.. And so, my aunts requested me to bake cookies for them this CNY.. =) I'll bake it next wednesday, to ensure its freshness.. and btw, NOT all aunties bake kae.. Try grabbing a couple of aunties on the road and ask them if they bake.. They might be experts in steaming fish and can do up fantastic sweet & our pork, but I'm sure NOT ALL AUNTIES BAKE!

*This is not even consider stereotyping aunties when assumptions are made that baking are aunties activities.. This is simply gibbish tok with no factual grounds...*

And youngster nowadays, at least a couple I do know, actually spend good money (is it S$60 or S$80) to go learn how to bake CUPCAKES!! >> Jere you also know them hor!!

Okie, enough of this bakery talk..

And lastly, I have confirmed with my bf.. I am indeed cute.

Be it I bake or not.
