Dear Bloggie,

2008 Year End Trip

Day 10 (Hongkong & Singapore)

My day started real early as my flight back to Singapore is at 11:35am. I took the MTR back to the Airport... It a Sunday morning, but still there's quite a crowd at the MTR... Hence with so much luggage and not to mention that they're super heavy, I made my way to the Airport with much difficulty.

Bestie and myself.. made an innocent mistake on our return flight... I told her I've booked the 11plus flight. And what I meant was the 11:35am flight departing from HKG to SIN. But Bestie thought I've booked myself on the flight that will arrive SIN at 11:35pm. We only realised this mistake about 1 week before my departure... We both tried to change the flight, but to no avail as the flight were pretty full...

But it doesnt matter.. I've much experience with Airports alone after this long trip.. I was early, ehence had some Breakfast at the Airport while waiting...

Boarding the flight now.. I'm leaving the Land of Mango and H&M...

This is rather good.. I like Cathay's In-flight food... =p

And with that... I'm back in Singapore... =)

This.. is my 10 days Taipei & Hongkong trip... I do not even dare to go calculate how much did I spend in total, but nevertheless... its a a trip where I found peace and courage within myself, and quality time spent with friends...

And right now, I'm planning for a return trip back to Taipei... =p
Dear Bloggie,

2008 Year End Trip

Day 9 (Hongkong)
My last full day in Hongkong... My 10 days trip is coming to and end very soon... 10 days, is really a long break and I'm starting to miss home... Much has been learned and experienced, and its time for me to head home and digest before I can adsorb any new matters.. =) Started the day at a 茶餐厅 just below HF's apartment...

By a stroke of luck, they sells egg tart here... With the crust just the way I love it. =)

Ermm... Set F I think... Too much noodles. I could only finish half of it. =p

After Breakfast, we head down to Soho. This place... is super hilly. This is the first time I've been there despite my multiple visits to Hongkong. Bestie and myself are simply equipped with a guidebook and map and we made our way to find all the 'must-go' places listed in the guidebook.

Stated to be one of the best place in Hongkong for Beef Noodles... And I guess, the crowd simply prove this to us.. But Beef noodles is not what brought us to this place, we're more interested in the shop right next to the Beef noodles, see the red LED displaying 'Homeless'? That's where we're heading for... =)

Walk around Soho, found many interesting shops... This is a very Arts infused place, with many interesting and unique things to see and do... And of coz... plenty of slopes. =p

Soho is also the place where plenty of pubs and bars mushroomed and frequented by 'Ang-mos'. We decided to stop by a chill-out place for a drink...

I had a Orange Juice, and Bestie had a Beer... At times, I really have to agree that opposite poles attract. Bestie and myself are simple as different as ABC is to XYZ... She loves Beer and Beef, while this are 2 things that I simply dont fancy... I would rather go for Chicken and Vodka. =p

We were seated on a level 2 veranda, with a clear view of the street below us..

Rested our feet from all the walking, and also review our itinerary for the evening..

And next... We went in search for the 世界第一塔 - 蛋塔.

Knowing my Love for 蛋塔, Bestie found the way to the supposedly Best Egg Tart in the World... Looking at the queue, this might really be it. =p

It does not have the flaky crust that I Love, but I have to admit that this is good... Ranked among one of the Best Eggies I've ever ate... =)

Then we followed the map and walked more.. To the Central Pier.

At the IFC Bridge once again...

Bestie is a fantastic navigator... Soho is rather far from the Central Pier, but we manage to find our way!!

Bought the tickets for the Ferries to cross over to TST. And oh... There are 2 decks to the Ferry, and the prices are different.. We bought our tickets at the lower deck, and tried to board at the upper deck but fail... -_-"

My virgin trip on the Ferry from Central to TST... Its a rather bumpy ride on the very choppy sea...

Doing what the Tourist do... We have to take the night view.

We found our way to Sogo at TST, and had our Dinner there.. And at the same time, bought all the 老婆饼.

With the ultra heavy baggage, we decided to take a break at 许留山. I simply got to eat it again before I leave the Land of Mango... This time roung, I had Mango Pudding with Bird Nest and Mango Gelato... It is just as good... =)

Besite... clumpsily 'pushed' the slip of paper underneath the glass.. And we had to bring this slip of paper to the cashier to pay for our Desert! We panic a little, but the staffs there lifted out the glass for us to retrieve our the paper...

Besite, and her paper which got 'resuced'... =)

We made our way to Langham Place again.. and raided the Supermaket... Bought plenty of stuffs there... =p After which, we head out to Mongkok again... For Bestie's Stinky Tofu.

Bestie and her Final piece of Stinky Tofu...

While I have the Cheese Sussage... This is super tasty...

This is not the end... Bestie went a little crazy at Mongkok as usual.. She went on a food feast once again...And I look after the shopping.. A little episode here with theChestnut that I do not want to go into details, but friends who are heading to Hongkong, do stop and compare the prices when you're buying similar items that are packed in different weights. It does not always meant that the more you buy the cheaper it gets...

And with this... We call it an end and head back to HF's apartment.

We reached her place at 1:30am, and I packed till 3am. It is rather frustrating as I've got too much stuff and my luggage cant be closed... I have to re-packed like twice before I manage to get everything in.. And my hand-carry are damn heavy. *sigh*

At 3am, Bestie is STILL not done with her packing.. She is really very very frustrated as she seemed to have MORE things then me... =p She has specially bought a small zip-lock bag to store her wipes... But somehow, it got lost in the messy room... And the little genious in me suggested her to put her wipes in the Chestnuts bag she bought for her Mum.. Bestie is impressed by me.. =p And you can see her 暗笑 here...

Wanted to share a short clip here... With Bestie trying to ordered Food at Mongkok with her limited Cantonese... Its rather funny, but unfortunately I only managed to record a bit down..

With this... this ends my last night in Hongkong... =)
