25th Birthday Celebration Update 5

Its my Birthday!!

People also say birthday got to eat 'shou tao' aka Peach. So I started my day with...

Peach!! This is not Apple okie... Its a 100% Peach. I ate the skin too... IT girl said its edible...

My Senior Manager, ZJL, took us out for lunch, to celebrate my Birthday! We went to Waraku at ECP... I took photos in my HP, but I still have not figure out a way to get the photos out from my HP... Hence lunch to be updated.. =)

But nevertheless, I had a great lunch with all of them... A fantastic treat from ZJL. =)

After lunch... another surprise awaits me.

This is indeed a pleasent surprise from my Besties AC and QH.. And not forgetting JT. Thank you so much!! The Sunnies are really fresh and big... Yellow and purple, all my favorite colors.. You know, I felt so blessed to have all of you around me. =)

Meet up with HY after work... I dated her out on this special day more then a month ago. So sorry to those who ask me out too at the very last minute.. I have reserved this special day for my Ai Ren. And also thanks to QH, who specially sms the day before to ensure that I have company for my birthday...

So... where did we go on this special day... =)

Some views from the capsule... We manage to catch a alittle of the sunset! Okie... To be fair, the Singapore Flyer is slightly over-rated. I mean it is really an experience, but ermm... I got pretty bored after the initial excitement wore off... But nevertheless, the view at the top is breath-taking.

After the ride, we made our way back to City Hall, and had our dinner at this dainty place at City Link...

Our dinner! HY's Japanese Curry Pasta is very good.. And we had a 'Japanese Ice Kachang' to end the day...

Thanks HY, for spending time with me... The poor girl was in Taiwan, and was stuck in Taipei for an extra day due to the Typhoon hence she just touched-down Singapore this morning. After braving through rain and storm, she sms me the first thing in the morning to wish me Happy Birthday, and is really glad that she manage to make it back to celebrate my birthday with me...

Told you... Xin leads a blessed life. Its so wonderful to have all of you. =)

Today is 29th July 2008.

Xin’s 25th Birthday... So much has happened this year, and its time for me to reflect and to learn. To learn from mistake and not make it again, and also too see what have I done well and could be improve upon.

1. Love

Xiang left me once again…
For good I guess, since we have already reached this stage. But its alright, Xin is doing fine alone. Fantastic in fact in the department of singlehood at the moment… =)

2. Job

Changed my job, after 3 years plus at Kingsmen…
I do miss my Colleagues and Bosses at Kingsmen, but well… I am settling well in the new place and really starting to make good friends too. Dragonfly is a monthly event and also kakis to KTV. And the occasion treats given out by the management is a plus too. =)

3. Friends

Love my Besties (Andrea, Qian and Karen) to bits. Thanks for being with me through this difficult time. The past year has seen our bond growing. All of you are literally with me 24/7 while I am down and out… Qian has gone on endless shopping trips, clubbing and even a trip to KL with me. Andrea is always there with a hug for me, a listening ear and a shoulder for me to cry on. And also not forgetting Karen, for the chats we had when we went jogging. =)

4. Balenciaga

Somehow, my little Baby B deserves a mention here. I am a proud owner of a Balenciaga this year… This is definitely not a big brand name as compared to LV and Prada, but this little B of mine caught my eye ages ago… And finally, I bought it!

5. Mole

I have removed a mole that has been with me for 25 years… It took me plenty of courage to remove it. Considering the fact that I went through the entire ordeal, from the first appointment, to removing the stitches all by myself… Removing the mole is not big deal I know, but it shows the independent side of Xin, and also somehow… A prettier Xin. =)

That’s about all I guess… I cannot think of any other items. =)
I lead a meaningful albeit turbulent 24th year in my life. Today, I’ll embark on my 25th year… With all the wishes from everyone, I’m sure I’ll have a fabulous year ahead!

25th Birthday Celebration Part 4

Its a Monday and I had to work... After so many days of celebration, I am tired. =) But nevertheless, I had a dinner with my Family. My Daddy is seldom in Town, hence how can I miss a dinner with him... =)

They came to pick me up after work, and we to Crystal Jade at Parkway.

I am really full... The food is yummy, and the company's fantastic... We were chatting and jokking throughout the meal, everyone's in a jovial mood.

The night ended with my favorite chocolate chip ice cream. =)

You seriously have no idea how much additional calories have I piled up from all my Birthday Celebrations. But well... Xin is a happy girl. =)

I slept very late on Saturday night, blame it on MSN again. But my bio alarm woke me up at 8am, so I was seriously feeling tired.

My 2nd Birthday Cake... It was bought from a neighbourhood cake shop, but surprisingly, the cake taste really good. Even the fruits that are there for decorative purpose is so fresh that it taste good... =) We took many photos with the cake, but it is very windy. So most of the time we're busy trying to keep the flame from going off, or JT busying trying to lite up the candle again...

My pressie! Upon knowing that JT lost to AC on the Tiffany and Co alphabet pandent, JT came to me, asking me to update my wish list for more items...

And I've got my impromtu pressie! Thanks everyone for the watch, I like it alot. Thanks JT and JJ for choosing it, this is really very my style, and most importantly.. it is not pink... *smile*

After lunch, I had some time to spare before I head down to my Granny house for my Birthday dinner with my extended family. Initially arranged to meet 1975 for a movie at PS.. But I was very late (I made him wait at PS for an hour -_-") so we miss the movie.

1975 was very sweet. He bought me my 3rd Birthday Cake, so bring it down to my Granny house. Its a Cookies and Cream Ice Cream cake from Swensons.. 1970 said no more ice cream for me, but he still bought me an ice cream cake... -_-"

Got Ang Baos and necklace as pressies... Forgot to take photo, but am wearing the necklace already... =)

25th Birthday Celebration Part 2

I have never shown my Balenciaga here.. As in the real thing in my hand.. So here, I present my B to you..

This was taken at the bus stop, my B on my lap.. I was waiting at the bus stop for the longest time ever, so I took the camera out and took this shot.

Meet up with AC and QH at Orchard, and we took a cab to Dempsey...

Dinner is at House.. The ambience and setting here is great.. The service rendered by the service staff is wonderful.. Well, I will say I had a great dinning experience, and would definitely recomend it to you..

My soup.. It had a damn chimalogy name, which I totally cannot remember.. But, this soup is really delicious.. As it is really thick and creamy, I am already pretty full after drinking it. And it is so damn tasty that I got to finish the last drop.

This is one of the House's special as recomended by their staff. It is really unique as the cocktail served in tinggat. You know, those metal tins where they use to tabao cooked food.

Each layer of the tinggat opens up to a glass of cocktail. I'm not too sure what is the content of the cocktail, but it comes with grapefruit and lychee. Here, you see the staff pouring in Champagne. I have to say this is really interesting.

This is my main, and QH ordered the same thing too... If I didnt remember wrongly, this is some fish and chip cooked in India spices. I actually like the potatoe alot... But by the time they served the main, I was already pretty full, so I actually didnt finish it.

Andrea's main... Some Wangyu Beef. Well, I'm never a fan of beef, hence I really got no idea is this nice or not.

Price of the dinner: $210+

Price of fantastic company: $Priceless

And this are my priceless company of the night. Thank you darlings, for bringing me to such a fabulous place for my birthday dinner. Thanks for celebrating my 25th year with me, and I'm sure you'll still be celebrating my 35th, 45th and many more to come.

25th Birthday Celebration Part 1

Xin is really a very happy girl yesterday.. It is a day with surprises, Tiffany, Besties and lots of alcohol... =)

This is my 'Supervisor'... We passionately call the one in green 小七。The other 2 are ermm.. For us to throw at each other when needed.. You know, like manual door bells..

In the afternoon, receptionist called me and said someone delivered a cake for me... I am like so shy, I don't dare to walk out to reception to take.. IT Girl, upon hearing there's a cake literally skipped to the reception... Well, reception mentioned its a cake. But it turned out to be...


Ice cream cake from Haagen-Dazs... Ermm, I am surprise. Really. Ice cream from Haagen Dazs I ate it often, but this is actually the first time I had a cake from Haagen-Dazs.. This is a pleasant surprise from a friend, NL..

My first birthday cake of the year... =) A 1kg Black and White symphony...Needless to say, its delicious...

Meet up with QH after work, and we to City Plaza and did eye lashes extention... After such a long time, Xin is finally appearing on her own blog... Me with my besties at Dragonfly..

Actually its more then the 4 of us... A few other guy friends turned up as well... But ermm, too random for me to really identify.

I really got to post this up. Please do not underestimate this tiny bottle of Evian sitting on my lap. It cost AC near 10bucks... This is the most expensive bottle of water I ever had.

And my Birthday pressies from my Besties..

Where is my little blue box? Hehe.. Still at Tiffany. 'X' turned out to be such a hot favorite that it is sold out at many Tiffany boutiques.. So it has to be specially indented in. I'll need to wait for another 6 weeks, before I get to hold the little blue box in my hands... But its alright, good stuff are worth waiting... =)

Alot many little happenings last night... But I'm having a headache now and really do no feel like going through item by item... But I have these wonderful memories, shared by Besties and the other guys who turned up and made my day.

More Random stuff.. As Xin is lazy... =)

[1] The pimple on my nose and cheek is drying out... (Yippee!!) But the spots on my forehead seemed to be blossoming into pimple... WTF?!

[2] At times... I really wonder if I'm turning 25 or I have reached Auntie-hood. Remember the super expensive loti I bought yesterday... I complain to IT Girl about the super expensive loti and told her I'll buy her loti this morning. The super expensive loti is 1 for $1.70, but 3 for $4.00. So its $0.33 savings per loti... So... I bought 3 this morning... Haha. -_-"

[3] I predict I'll be super sleepy soon... as I slept at 1.30am this morning. Blame it on MSN.

[4] Plans for weekend, more or less iron out... I think. Well, no point planning so much... Certain things are beyong my control.. But I'm sure we'll have a great time, right Darlings?

[5] Wore a pair of Esprit 3-quarter pants to work today. It looks nice and smart in the morning, but when I reached office, it turned lose and sluggish... I lost the smart look. And I matched it with a pair of URS silver heels.. Its only 2.5inch, but I feel kind of "not-so-safe" on it... Its like a little too high today... So my entire outfit today feels... so wrong.

[6] One day to Friday!! Jia You ah my friends!! =)

[1] I'm eating this sandwitch I bought from Tampines Interchange. It has ham, cheese and egg mayo. It cost me a freaking $1.70 (sooo expensive!!) but its super delicious...

[2] Love my Daddy! Because...
- Mum was nagging at me for having too much shoes on the shoe rack... Daddy defended me by saying its all Mummy's Darling's (Toffee..) fault as he chews on shoes so I have no choice but to leave all shoes on the top rack.
- I return home on Monday, and Daddy insisted in cooking dinner for me. Albeit a simple one, but I ermm.. had this sweet feeling in my tummy. =)

[3] I love AC and QH... No worries dears, what didnt kill us will only make us stronger. We can survive this together! We have each other for support, and nothing is impossible... Cheer up. =)

[4] I'm celebrating my birthday this weekend, and I have this super unsightly pimple on my Nose and Cheek.. And plenty of little spots popping up on my forehead. Blame it on PMS.

[5] I am hook on Disney Princess cartoon now. I have watched Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Sleepy Beauty.. I'll plan to go back and watch Snow White today...

[6] Just head from Radio, someone learnt Social Dance for 3 years and lost 8kg. Anyone wants go learn with me? *okie, this is a joke*

今天的这一篇，将以华文来写。这是因为近日有一位ermm, 朋友，就称他为1975吧。。他最近一直在跟我切磋中文，让我突然有了这个以中文来书写的冲动。。等一下再跟你说多一点有关1975的故事吧。。 （不过其实也没什么。。）

星期五和一群好友一起去了Dragonfly。 名，不说你也知道就哪几个。。=）是发生了一些不愉快的事，不过我也不想多提。当晚我是没喝多，不过头却痛了起来。回到家乐，也痛得睡不着。。我摸到快四点了才入眠。。

星期六早上起来，发现我那可爱的声音竟然有点不对竟了。。有点沙沙的。。所以把原本要去唱歌的行程个取消掉了。。

1975这时忽然传了可短讯个我，说要去书城帮我找三国演义。。

自从我看了赤壁，就对三国演义产生了浓厚的兴趣。。我一直在找一本适合的三国演义来读，不过不是太深奥，就是那些儿童漫画，根本找不到合适的。所谓一山环比一山高，我自认华语成度是不错的，可是1975的却比我厉害。他不只中文了得，还对三国有研究。不过他还很谦虚的说自己的华文没什么，说什么骄者必败，所以要谦虚。。

所以正当我还在烦恼星期六要做些什么事，1975忽然传了可短讯给我，说今天想忙里偷闲不去做工，要去书城帮我找三国。。1975竟然自告奋勇要去帮我找。。我，也因为不好意思所以就跟着去了。。=）

到了书城，逛了几间书店，终于找到了一本比较适合我的书。。之后就走回Bugis，在那吃了午餐，闲逛了一下，再去吃冰淇淋。。不知聊到什么，讲到烟火。兴一起就买了单，说去看烟火。。=）

离开了Bugis，我们往Suntec前进。。离开时已经吓着绵绵细雨，不过雨势很小所以用纸做的心也不以为然，冒着绵绵细雨兴高采烈的要去看烟火。说时迟，那时快，每走多远雨势变大。1975担心最近常生病的我淋雨会在生病，所以要我在某座大楼避雨。自己却冒着雨去找雨伞。他没走多久，我听到远处有声巨响，原来烟火表演开始了!!我一个人就独自站在那座大楼下，看着璀璨的烟火。。=）不知乘几何时，1975刚好买了雨伞回来了。就这样，我们就站在那儿，一起看着璀璨的烟火划过夜空。。

交了一个知识渊博的朋友真是好。。把我那儿沉睡已久的中文，从梦里叫醒了。

I am sleepy... In the office now.

Have been sleeping late recently as I am still hooked on the Forensic Heros 2. You know how those detective shows goes.. The plot goes on and on, and you simply got to keep up with it to see who is the murderer.

Xin's birthday celebration starts next weekend.

I want to say a big Thank You to AC. Thanks girl, for taking the time and effort to plan for my birthday dinner. Deeply appreicated kae.. =) All the locations that you choose all look so fabulous, you make me feel so pampered and spoilt.

And to JT too... He is going to take on the planning of my Poly Friends Sunday lunch from here on..

This year, I want to keep things as simple as possible... Getting old le. =)

Friday

You know that your Besties are alcoholics when QH is at Dragonfly; and AC is at Ponggol Park drinking... I was at AMK having dinner with a friend, and I was given a choice of Dragonfly or Ponggol Park after dinner...

Ultimately, I chose Anderson Ice-cream.

Saturday

Did not really have the mood to venture out as the weather is damn hot. Stayed at home and did a Japanese Drama Marathon. Watched this...

山田太郎ものがたり (Yamada Taro Monodatari). The Japanese version of 貧窮貴公子.

Okie, its is nice... If not I also will not spend my weekend watching this...

DL came by to pick me up with AC to catch a show at Bishan. We watched 'Red Cliff'... At the beginning of the show, I was kind of surprise to find this show is a part from 三國演義. I have never had any interest in 三國演義, and hence I got the 'kanna cheated' feeling. Oh, did I mention that DL suggested this show, I called AC and AC thought I wanted to watched, so she okie-ed, and I thought AC wanted to watch the show coz she okie-ed.. So in the end, actually DL is the only one who wanted to see the show. AC and myself became a even bigger vase then 小乔.

But fortunately, the show is Good!!

周瑜(Tony Leung) and 诸葛亮(Takeshi Kaneshiro) are so handsome!! I am totally smitten.. I am utterly impressed by 诸葛亮's intelligence, so inspired... =)

The night ended with drinks at Serangoon Garden... And oh, I ate the Tang Yuan I have been craving for since... Fridae?

Sunday

A hectic day... Coz Xin is silly.

It is a day full of Bus no. 59. And ended up with a cab ride to Orchard... Long story ah.

Anyway, JT has fixed my Lappie!! Thank you Jere!!

And KTV at Orchard with AC, KL and DL.

The day ended with Ponggol Nasi Lemak, and us discussing HDB, flooring, toilet fittings and Babies' names...

You will know that we have all grow up when we start talking about balloting for HDB, cost of renovations and KL and EG going to name their kid "Ho Seh Boh". -_-"

Scary... We have all grow up.

In another 5 to 7 years later, we should all be discussing the best gynae around, where to find baby sitter and issues with MIL.

We have come a long way girls... Thanks for walking beside me for the past decade or so. You have been in a major part of my life, and many more to come. Thanks for being such a good friend to a spoilt and princessy Xin since Primary and Seconday School, thanks for sharing my joy when I'm blissfully attached, and lending me a shoulder to cry on when I'm out of love. Always standing-by with a hug whenever I need it, showering me with harsh yet sensible words to wake me up from my big fat dreams..

This is the first birthday present from Xin to Xin on her 25th birthday. A major change to mark a new beginning. =)

All of you will see a sightly different Xin while celebrating her birthday this year... =)

Anyway... I have finally fix and confirm plans on 29th July... So scare that I'll have to spend this day alone... Thanks HY!! For arranging the tickets to the Singapore Flyer... Love you girl. =)

A raining Wednesday morning. =)

Recently... Xin is actually feeling happier.

It's true. A big Thank You to all my Friends!!

People come in and out of our lives... This is all part and parcel of our lives. Instead of feeling depress and out over a departure, why not celebrate its existance in the first place? For bringing us joy and happiness... =)

Okie! Some random issues...

a) I am sincerely very happy for QH, the little woman basketing in her blissful life now.

b) I love AC for keeping me under her wing during this difficult times, keeping me sheltered from harm. And all these while, she herself is going through a rough patch.

c) Thou I have stopped exercising for the moment due to my health and face condition, KL please continue with your exercise regime.

This is part of the National Day Parade I think... Isnt it wonderful to be lying in the arms of your beloved while taking in the lovely Heart in the sky?

But well... I'll be in Hongkong by then. =)
