Its my Birthday week. =)

But somehow as time passes, as I grow older… It loses the magical feel. I no longer felt that special. =)

Okie, updates on a couple of important happenings over the weekend which are… pretty significant.

I was out having dinner at that wonderful Jap restaurant on Friday, and after which, we adjourned to KTV at Cuppage. KTV was booked at 10pm, but the traffic was horrible at Orchard Road (we drove down as he parked at Shaw, so later we do not have to walked up the whole stretch of Orchard Road at 2am…) Reached only at 10.30pm. But its alright, since its only the 2 of us. Left around 2am, and I got home around 3am.

I was sort of determine to stay up the entire nite, as the final installment of Harry Potter – Deathly Hallows, will be released for sale at 7am and I had pre-ordered mine at Borders, Wheelock. Just as I was contemplating with the idea, and was thinking whether I should have not come home but instead make him queue overnight with me (a queue was already forming at Borders at 7pm when I was at wheelock for dinner) at Borders. But just then, Esther msn-ed me, and we talked till around 5am. And sleep got the better of me, and I decided to call it a night, with loads of alarm to make sure I don’t wake up too late.

I woke up at 7.30am… And called Xiang to pick me up (Sms him around 4am and he said he’ll send me down). His doing a DVD marathon with his friends, hence he agreed to send me down to pick up the book. So he arrived around 8am, while I showered and freshen myself up after barely 2.5hr of sleep. Reached Wheelock around 8.20am; and the queue was horrible. =( There is easily 100people already in queue. But lucky for me, my uni friend Ruby was already in the queue since 7am and she’s already near the cashier. Being a darling, she asked me to go in immediately, and she helped me pick up my book. =) Saved me at least a couple hours of waiting time.

So I bought breakfast from Mac before I went home… And I started the journey with Harry Potter, at 10am.

Okie, I cleared all plans for the weekend, just to read Harry Potter. But thou I rejected all appointments with others; I actually fall into the trap from Mr Sand Man. He got the better of me, and I fall asleep before 11am. Hence, my reading process was pretty staggered over the weekend. With me falling asleep as and when… =(

So well… and I actually went shopping on Sunday, followed by my cousin’s birthday dinner.

Took a day off on Monday and went for interview at Keppel. I didn’t perform well at the interview, but well… at least I gained the interviewing experience. =) After that I picked up the car from my mum, and drove down to school to collect book. Meet a friend in school, and had a nice lunch together. =) Made my way home after the meal, and I continued the journey, with my Harry Potter… (okie, less then half hour I fall aslp again.)

Wanting to be a good girl, I went to pick my mum up after her work, and went to Compass Point and had a nice dinner with her. She said it’ll be an early celebration of my bdae… =)

So anyway, ate at The Soup Restaurant… I was sooooo full~~* (So much for my dieting…)

Went back home and continued on my Harry Potter till late night.

And… Ta da~~* I finished the journey with Harry on Tuesday morning!!!

Not to be a spoiler, I’m not going to reveal the ending… But its definitely a good read. =) I love it.

Okie, going to start on my birthday celebrations from today onwards with various groups of friends… =)

Thou I’m slightly upset with the little hiccups with the arrangements of dinners and all, but overall, I still want to send my thanks to those who sincerely made plans for me. =)

And, I have a change in my seats yesterday… I gave up my seat to the new secretary. It was a move, which saddened me. I never like changes, it meant uncertainty and doubt. I like to make plans and not do stuff on ad-hoc basis, know what is going on at all times and be in-charge… (Typical leo right…)

So right now I’m going through quite a rouch patch, my patient is short, and I’m quite touchy.

But its my birthday week~~* =)

Looking forward to all the wonderful dinners and clubbing on Sat night. Especially that dinner where the venue is meant to be a surprise… I am sure looking forward to that. =)

Bookings at Dargonfly confirmed on Saturday. My colleague is trying to get free entry for all. But right now only the 1^st 12 are free… So let me know if you’re coming, so arrangements can be made kae… =)

Went for Dinner at Sun with Moon Japanese Restaurant at Wheelock Place Level 3 on Friday evening after work.

Apparently this place was opened somewhere in 2005, but I have never heard of it till ermm.. now.

But its never too late to uncover a gem hiden in the midst of busy Orchard Road.

The setting was warm and welcoming.

The seats I've got was partitioned from the others with a veil, to ensure minimum privacy...

And seats was littered with white leather cushion. And dim lightings make the setting even more perfect. =)

I order a unagi don.

This is the best unagi don I had in ages... Believe me when I said its good. Coz I simply love unagi... =) The mare thought of it send me drooling all over again.

And this is what he ordered...

This is ermm... I forgot its name... And I realised I forgot to take a photo of it without its lids. But its abit like our chinese claypot rice... But its toppings was salmon and fish roes... And its all the essence being absored into the rice... I guess it must be heavenly. The little hour glass its just a gimick I guess. We got to wait for 1min, before we open the lid...

I did not try this claypot thingy... Coz I was never a fan of salmon.

But after that, we order deserts...

Beautiful isnt it... I was holding on to the fork for quite something as I simply cant bear to put these pretty little things into my mouth... *smile*

Anyway, this is heavenly.

Tou-fu Cheesecake... The presentation of it is already so damn unique. But the taste is.... I cant find a way to describe it. This is a "Never-to-be-missed" item. I was never a great fan of cheesecake. But this is simply hevenly... =)

Okie... I got to call it an end. I'm in the midst of my Harry Potter but I just want to share this fantastic place with you. =) Do call and make reservation before you go down in order to avoid disappointment.

Thursday

Harry Potter Day!

Well, xiang was nice and went online and pre-booked the tickets on 29th June so that I can watched it once its released... So we went Great World at 10pm for the show... Ermm.. The show is okie. Not perfect. But well, I didnt go with much expectation. So well... =) But I was really tired after that.

Friday

Had dinner with my Huiyu, Tracy and Jo at AMK Hub. AMK Hub is really crowded. But the whole building dont really have much stuff. We cant even find a decent cafe to sit down and chill. Long queues was forming everywhere...

So we ended up at Mac, and we just sit and chit chat... Till around 10pm, I went down to Mind's cafe. Played games till ermm.. around 2.30pm. Then went back home. Reached home around 3.30am... I was really tired. Very very tired...

Saturday

Was supposed to go down for the Spa Massage at 11am. And guess what.

I woke up at 10.10am...

So we called and postpone it. And I went back to sleep...

Till around 5pm, xiang came over to pick me up to his place... I was to borrow a blazer from his sister for a interview on Monday. But went over, none of it fitted. Haizz..

After that meet Qian at Tamp around 7pm, and we went to Vivo City for dinner. After dinner we head down to St James... I briefly mentioned to my colleauges that I'll be going down with a friend. Then he got us under guest list, and booked a table for us at Power House. =)

So Qian asked her colleauges along... And ermm.. we had fun. =) Okie, Power House was pretty boring... We were there around 10plus and its almost empty. So we left the guys there, and we went to Dragonfly... I know the crowd at Dragonfly is old and its very cheena and all... But I actually like it. =) So Qian and I hang out at Dragonfly for a couple of hours, then we head back to Power House to join her colleauges.

We left St James around 3am... I had fun... =)

Sunday

Woke up and half the day is gone... Xiang came pick me up around 4pm to Tamp, to shop for my blazer. Spent 100+ on something I dont like... =( And G2000 is actually on sale. And yet that stupid suit cost me like $120. Damn expensive...

After that he sent me down to my Granny's house for dinner...

Monday

Took half day leave and went for 2 interviews. The 1st is at a Head Hunter company at Raffles Place. The benefits is excellent, and my boss are expat. I kind of like it, so well... See if they'll get back to me. =) And after that went down to DHL... I dont think I like that job alot, coz till now I dont even know what position am I getting myself in. But anyway, coz Adeline worked there, we had dinner together after that. Since we're in Hougang, Qian came over and joined us too.

Had a nice time catching up with each other. I think I have not seen Ade for quite a long time. She really seemed to be doing very well... All the best to your wedding arrangements kae girl. =)

Tuesday

Had dinner after work with my uni classmates. Just to catch up abit. =) Had dinner at NYDC at Wheelock. After all my dieting last week, everything went down the drain... I had potato salad, mozerella garlic toast, baked rice and mud pies!! I know its damn sinful... But well... Very seldom I meet up with my uni friends simply our of leisure. We are forever meeting up to rush assignments or to study for exams. So well, it seemed like this pampering is absolutely reasonable. =)

Wednesday

Dinner again after work... This time with Jere, Xingwei and Emi. =)

A welcome dinner for Jere... at Waraku at Marina Square coz he wanted to eat Japanese food. He said he was deprieved of it at Australia... So the 4 of us were there for 3 hours, chit chatting over food. =)

Its nice... =)

And we almost went to Zouk... Hehe. Out of a moment of impulse... Right xw?? =)

Then Jere, being the very nice guy as usual, sent all 3 girls home. He was driving, and he patiently send the girls back, from Jurong to Serangoon and Hougang... =) Very out of way, but thanks!!

Okie, and I was quite sotong again.

Remember there was once when I wanted to watched the pirates of the carribean on a Sat nite, but I booked it on Friday instead... And I cant make it on Friday and I ended up smsing the entire world and hopefully that someone can go watch the movie instead...

This time round, when I was making the reservation for Waraku on Friday, I called and reserved it on Friday instead... And was only after the waitress was confirming the details with me again, then I realised I made the mistake...

So please kae people, dont make me go do any reservations or bookings of any sort... I seriously have the tendency to make mistake when it comes to matters like these...

Thursday

And it is today... I am going jogging again. =)

After so many days of good food, I need to sweat it out somehow or another.

But I'm really tired. I have not been sleeping early for the past 1 week...

Okie, I need to go back to work... The new secretary to take over my place is in on Monday... Her learning progress is slow, and I'm really having a tough time passing on my stuff to her... =(

I am very hungry now.

My stomach is... growling away.

So much for my Apple diet... I have not really keep strictly to it. As in on the 2nd day I felt giddy and I started munching on a little biscuit. And also I had light dinners for the pat 3 days. I cant take the hunger you see.

And I went jogging on Tuesday with Jere. I told him to keep a look out for me just in case I faint or what... (Okie, a cut down on food intake dont think I'll faint...)

Anyway, I walked 1 round as warm up, then I ran 5 rounds (thats 2km) and I walked the final round as cooling down. =)

Its Harry Potter day... Ermm.. Movie day.

Well, normally their movie always turned out to be a disappointment. But I still want go and see. So I've got the tickets for 10pm tonight at Great World City. Xiang pre-booked it for me on the 29th June... Nice of him right?

And I just realize I broke a nail... again.

So since the movie's at 10pm, maybe I can go for a manicure after work.

As usual, work sucks. But my boss is flying off to Delhi this evening, at least thats something to cheer me up somehow..

Okie.. Something to cheer me up even more.

I've got an interview next monday... Wish me luck. =)

A quick update on what I saw this morning on my way to work.

ITE has started school again; hence the bus is very crowded. So I was standing right at the back of the bus. So the bus I was in was at the bus bay… Then after all the passengers have alighted, the bus proceeds to move forward, wanting to get out of the bus bay.

At this moment, a bus was just approaching the bus bay. I notice that the bus behind significantly reduced its speed to a crawling snail… I was just having evil thoughts about stupid bus drivers who like to travel at snail speed at the peak period… But then it suddenly occurs to me.

That bus below was trying to block the traffic, for the bus I was in to be able to move out of the bus bay with ease… =)

I think it’s so nice…

Okie, that brightens up my day somehow… Seeing how drivers are helping their colleagues to make their work easier… =)

And I’m starting my Apple diet today.

I’ll be starting the day with bread, then an apple for lunch… some biscuit for tea.

That’s all. =)

Hope I can maintain this diet for a week… But well, my period just came this morning. Like not too good a time to start dieting… Coz you know the lethargic and all…

But well, I see how it goes… =)

Watched Transformer on Friday night...

The show is fantastic and the company's great... =)

We were at Marina Square, so we had dinner at the Japanese desert place... I dont remember the name of that place... But its the place where they sell Japanese ice cream and dersert.

The show is damn nice.. I mean, I was never a great fan of Transformer, but its really nice.

It is indeed a typical Hollywood Blockbuster, with a good cast and directors, and with USA as a background, complete with the typical America patriot thiny... But a good one thou. I like. =)

Went home right after the show... Erm. Yar.

Saturday was also another fullfilled day. Jere is finally back in Singapore, and we had lunch together yesterday... After which we played mahjong with Tommy and Qian. But poor Jere, think he lost touch with the mahjong world liao, he lost quite abit yesterday... But its okie, next time round will be better okie!!

And I recieved my 1st birthday pressie too. From Jere. Its like still quite some time away from my birthday, but well, nevertheless, Thanks!! I like the top alot, its beautiful. But I got the feeling its too small for me... Haiz... I think I really got plenty of weight to lose...

After mahjong Qian and I head down to Boat Quay's Mind's cafe.. We damn sotong. Its at Boat Quay, but after we get out of the MRT, we head towards Clarke Quay. Yar... still we walked along Clarke Quay for quite sometime and we cant find the place.. (Of coz cant find lah... Its totally 2 different place...) So after clarification from Karen, we got the correct place.

So we were there around 7pm till 10.30pm. Then we ended the the session. Errmm.. Not as fun as the previous time. Guess the novelty worn off.. But nevertheless, I still enjoyed the time spent with the girls...

10.30pm on a Saturday night. Go home seems like such a shame.. So we walked back to Clarke Quay, hoping to find a chill out place.. We walked around Clarke Quay for rounds, and we cant find a suitable place... So in the end we walked back to Boat Quay, hoping to find a KTVpub or something... Which ermm.. we cant find a place where we feel comfortable in. So in the end Karen suggested KTV at China Town, so we walked all the way from Boat Quay to China Town...

Frankly speaking, I was very very tirrd. So by the time we reached China Town KTV at 12.40am, we were told that they are closing at 3am, so... we decided to not sing. Coz ermm.. Its only about 2hrs of singing time...

We ended up at MacDonald's at China Town... And we set there and chit chat till 2am. Xiang came by and picked me up... I accompany him for supper before he sent me home. I paid him for the ride kae.. I gave him 15bucks.

I was so tired that I head straight to bed.

And now, I realised that I got nothing much to do. I have the craving for rice, as I've been eating soup and noodles for the past few days... Errmm... Think I'll just go down and buy myself some food. I just remembered I need to buy Apples as Ill be starting my "an-apple-for-lunch" dieting plan tomorrow...

Moody day.

1. Interviews

Not mine…

The people who are coming to take over mine…

So actually quite a handful of people are interested in what I’m doing. Seeing them coming in for interview, I actually feel kind of unhappy. You know its that something call territory. I cant imagine a month or so down the road that girl will be sitting at my desk.

Oh yes, I’ll be shifting away from my current desk and shift somewhere else. HR called and asked where would I want to sit, so they can start arranging for the technicians to come down and fix up my phone line and all… I’m well, feeling abit moody about it.

And yar, I don’t know what will I be doing after this… Apparently my boss has been telling the entire world that I am promoted and will be doing procurement. *bulr*

2. Fat

Went up to the Corporate Office at level 5 2 days back, and the Corporate Marcom girl, Nurlin, who is ermm.. fat, called out to me (more of shouted out to me),” Angie, you are SO FAT!! Look at you Tummy!!”

Corporate Office kae… The HR Manager heard and came out. “Oh yar, been eating a lot ah Angie”.

I cannot tell you how pai sey I am…

So, I once again drag my lazy ass down to the tracks again. Wednesday I walked for 400m, then ran 1.2km, then walk for ermm.. 5 more rounds or so.

And I’m eating healthy again, have been eating soupy stuff like fish soup and porridge for the past 2 days. And yup, I’m avoiding all the sweet drinks now too. Only plain water for me now. =)

3. Relationship

Okie, I guess this is what’s making me super moody now. But yet, I’m in no mood to share it here. Errm… Yar. I am those, super ermm.. well. It just happened you see, hence it’s taking the nerves out of me now. But give me a couple hours more or let me sleep over it, and I’ll be fine and over it. So no point bitching about it now, when I know it wouldn’t bother me by tomorrow right…

Anyway, I saw the show Fantastic 4 yesterday… It’s a good show. I like it. And today, I’m going to see ermm.. Whats that show name… Transformer.

I’m supposed to be excited about it. But well, after all the ordeal today, the excitement sweeps past me.

Going to Mind’s Café with Qian tomorrow. I am looking forward to that.

Having a stiff shoulder now, and I’m in a ultra grumpy stage.

Or maybe its my pms…

And oh yar, that stingy fellow who is advertising himself is making his way back to Singapore now. For good. =) At least something for me to look forward to…

10mins to lunchie!!

So since I dont think I can do anything productive for this last 10mins... So might as well do abit of update of my weekend.

Friday

In the end, I really go home right after work. I felt so damn pathetic... Its like. Ermm... Noone to go out with me at all... =( And to make it worst, its raining and all... Make me feel even more poor thing. But its okie, I think I slpt pretty early too... Told you I lead an "I-am-ninety-year-old" life.

Saturday

After having a sucky week, I started off my weekend just as sucky.

Left home around 11am to go school to pay school fee. I thought my taking MRT it would be faster... But I was so damn wrong again. I reached school around 1pm, so that makes it close to a 2hour journey...

As I'm meeting Andrea, HF, AL and YH for lunch at 1pm, I rush a cab down... No cab outside the bird-also-no-want-lay-egg place... And the weather is simply so damn inhumane... I'm damn frustrated liao. And after I finally hop on to a cab, the traffic was horrible at Bukit Timah. It jammmed all the way to Tekka area. So well, I was horribly late.

Lunch at Marina Mandarin Hotel, and its good. I like the spread... The cod fish and desserts was good. =)

After that walk around abit with the girls, I bought a dress, 4 books and a pair of earrings. To beat the GST hike you see... And oh yes. 1 item off my list... I bought a pair of diamond earrings for myself. My sensitive ears cant take it any longer... So well. =)

After which I went home, reached home around 7pm. Then 2 lonely girls, dont want to be home again on a Saturday nite. So I meet Qian and we drove down to St James for a drink. Not so much of clubbing, but more or chilling out at the Peppermint Park. Not too bad a place... But we got bored around 1am, and with nowhere else to go, and I cant drink anymore as I'm driving, we called Karen and suggested going to Mind's cafe. But too bad, they were fully booked for the nite.

So we left around 2am, and I sent Qian back before I went home.

Frankly speaking, I was very tired....

Sunday

Woke up with a heavy head. Thou what I only had a Lychee Martini the night before... Xiang came to pick me up, I passed him some stuff. Then we went for lunch at Bedok. Then I meet Qian again around 4.30pm... We head down to Cityhall... For Jimmy's birthday dinner.

Got to know her ex-colleagues when we went for the KL trip in March. Nice guys lah. Dinner at Cafe Cartel compliments from Shawn... After dinner at 7pm, *thunder and lighting*, the guys say they are heading home.

But its only 7pm. I cant believe it.

So Qian and I, called Karen again and we head down to Minds Cafe. Finally. =)

I love hanging out with the girls... We had so much fun there... Playing all sort of stupid games, but confirming our favorite as errrmmm... omg. I forgot the name of the game.

Karen was asking why the 2 of us kept asking why are the 2 of us always together... So I was telling her, coz we are 2 very bored and single girls with a bunch of very attached friends. So we got too much time on hand and hence we're always hanging out with each other. Pathetic right. Hehe... But we're 2 happy girls... Well, sort of. =)

We left around 11pm, and omg. Its so cheap. We spent close to 3hrs there, and the total bill is less then 40bucks. Cheap right??

I shall label that as my favorite hangout place for the mth of July... Hehe.

And oh yah... I bought a new Coach Wristlet, got my colleague to buy it back from USA. Its their new season... I bought the one in denim material with leather... Pretty!!
