Happy Lunar New Year!!

Ate plenty of tangerines and oranges in the office this year... Saw the mini tangerines? They are super yummy!! After dinner with Grouchy Bear after work one day, we went over to NTUC trying to find it... But I cannot find any. =(

1st Birthday of the Year! I slept at 6am on Saturday night, but I woke up at 8.30am the next morning... Meeting the Poly people for an early lunch at Harbour Front.

The early birds... Not bad right. more then half made it on time.. =) Anyway, its to celebrate JT's birthday... The first among us to hit 26. =x No worries JT, noone is going to catch up with you anytime soon... =p

Anyway, we had Dim Sum Buffet... Maybe its due to the fact that I've just returned from Hongkong, so I have very strong opinion of the Dim Sum here... Which btw, is Dragon Gate Restaurant @ Harbour Front. The food here, is all about Quantity and not on Quality. And we made a little 'boo hoo' somehow, and we ended up with a little too much food... =p But hey, its a Buffet!!

And someone is very dressed to theme that day!! Our 奶黄包王子.. Wanna make a guess whose that? =p

Very very tired... Hence didnt take much photos. A last group photo to end off Lunch.

Happy Birthday to JT and PJ!!

Grouchy Bear came by to pick me up after Lunch and we went back to his house to take his Dog (the very very big Alaskan Mamamute) Ash to the vet. The poor girl has a lump on her paw and its hurting her so badly that she's limping slightly...

With that, it ends my weekend... =)

In 1997, ten 14 year old girls met and very soon… Their friendship fostered and they became very close friends. After the year ended, the ten girls got split up and went into different classes. And the friendship weakens along the way… and after graduation in 1999, we all lost contact.

Let me tell you how glad I am that with the passing of time, I am still as close (if not closer) to some of the girls… That includes Bestie, QH and KL.

In 2009, we planned for a gathering… Thou little hid-cups occurred along the way, but I’m glad that the gathering did materialize…

After 10 long years… Gone were the days of the Blue Pinafore, we have all turned out to be dainty ladies. =) Thou it felt weird seeing AO again after so many years, but somehow I am really glad to see her again. Glad to know that she is doing well and is being loved.

Dinner was at Hog's Breath Cafe at Chijmes... The company is wonderful, but the food sucks. Enough said. =p

After dinner, we head off to Dragonfly... Unfortunately, AO is meeting her guy so she left early. So its just us... I know I looked a little red here... The power of vodka.

My Bestest Friends since young... Counting back, I knew Bestie for ermm.. 19 years! Thanks darling, for being by my side all these while and my pillar of support..

I left just before mid night... Meeting Grouchy Bear. I seriously swear to you that I am not drunk, but I seriously do not feel well. The urge to puke is ermm.. strong. Thank God for the long wait for his friends at the carpark at Thomson. The cold wind and water does makes me feel so much better... So much better that I'm out till... 5+ in the morning. =p

I had a wonderful day... Let's plan for a next gathering soon and see if we could get more girls to join us. Let's not wait for another 10 years to meet up, by then everyone will be coming down with babies and milk bottles. =p

I did something very silly!!

And it’s all JT’s fault!!

Remember I went to the 龙山寺 when I was in Taipei last December… To 拜月老. And somehow, amazingly… I think it works… =) But ermm… just as I was having second thoughts about it and is telling JT about it, he told me maybe 月老 is efficient and has already helped me with the 红绳, but coz its done in a hurry… It might be tied to the wrong person. So he asked me to send an email to 月老 to Thank Him for his help, and also to check on the status.

JT… even gave me an email address: yuelao@heaven.com

So… I wrote an email and send it to that email address above, cc-ed to JT.

And… I didn’t received ANY BOUNCED EMAIL.

Meaning… This email address really exist.

I… feel so silly. =(

Anyway, 20th January.

Happy Birthday JT!! You’re the first among us to hit 26!! We will not be catching up anytime soon, so be patient and just wait for us high high above ah… =p

And also Happy Birthday to Jenny… My colleague from Hongkong whose been so helpful all these while with my Hongkong trips, Cantonese and all other matters… A Mummy to a handsome boy who is 1 week old.

A post on Doggies... =)

I have 2 Darlings at home...

Lizzie... I bought that big red pillow for my bed. But I do not know how did it end up on my bedroom floor one day, and she has claim ownership of it... =p Like all the women in the house, Lizzie has been gaining weight... But nevertheless, still the 美女 of the house.. =)

And this... is my furball Toffee who has just been to the Groomer not too long ago. Its not easy to get a front shot of him and even tougher for him to be looking at the camera.

Toffee sleeping on my bed... Thou I truly love Lizzie more then Toffe, but this little furball is so damn cute that he manage to find a little opening in my heart and squeeze himself in. There's nothing I love more then to just curdle him despite his protest...

Another doggie... But not mine. She's a Alaska Mamamute, very very big dog. I seriously got no idea what sort of breed is this.. But thou this girl is nothing like her appearance. She is really very very big, but extremely well-tempered and gentle. Even when other dogs (most smaller then her) are barking at her, she is not at all offended.

And since this little space belongs to ME, I'll end off with a pretty me.

Okie... Finally I've uploaded all the photos of how I bid 2008 Good Bye and Welcome in 2009. =) 2008 is a year of Change for me, and knowing my dislike for change... I pray that 2009 will be a more steady and peaceful year.

Okie... Photos! But ermm... not alot. I wasnt in a good mood that day.

Anyway... Dinner was at... I forgot. =p Bestie can you please remind me again where is dinner at? I forgot the name of the Restaurent, but its at a quiet corner at Serangoon Gardens. I drove that day to my Granny's place to drop the Taipei and Hongkong stuff I bought back... Hence drop by Tampines to pick up QH.

Dinner was set for 6.. Other then Bestie, QH and KL, KL's guy is also there... And she also brought a friend from school to join us. Loti was served first... Somehow, I think the loti at Ember @ Hotel 1929 is way better... =p

And this.. is the appetizer. Posting this up after 2 full weeks is a seriously bad idea as it poses as a damn big challenge to my memory. I think its foie gras with scallop, which ermm... I clearly remember that I do not fancy much.

Lobster bisque... The taste is somehow.. weird. And its a bit too watery.. The one I had at Landmark Cafe at Hongkong is way better.

Ermm... I accidentally deleted the photo of the main dish.. Anyway, I remember having some Turkey and Ham thingy.. Which was not that bad. And then... this is desert. Heard from DQ that their Tiramisu is ranked among the top 4 in Singapore. But... as the dishes prior to desert was seriously disappointing, hence I did not really enjoy my desert. And not to mention that my displeasure that evening is mounting up... But credit to the Tiramisu, its really not that bad.

Ater dinner we tried to find a hang-out place.. Mahjong was out as we have more guest then expected, liquid buffet at Bestie's house was out too as ermm.. I cant remember. Someone objected to it maybe? So we ended up at our regular hang-our place... Bliss Cafe. And oh yes... That Ice Lemon Tea is mine... I adore Bliss's Ice Lemon Tea.

Bliss Cafe is having their own New Year count down event... The first event up was a Beer Drinking Competition... This is the Male's Competition.. Err.. I cant remember who won. =p

They have another Competition coming up... So we volunteer Bestie and KL's guy up! And guess what they have to do... Dance... -_-" There are 6 participants, and Bestie was the 2nd Runner-up. KL's guy is good kae.. He finished as the 1st Runner-up. =) The guy in blue emerge as the Winner... He really can dance. =)

Actually... I took down the video of the whole Dancing Competition. But I know Bestie will skin me alive if I post it up... Hehe. So after much considerations, I'm going to keep it for personal viewing. =p 够朋友了吧！

And... its time for the count down... No fire work, no noisy crowd. A quiet one with people I love. =)

我的Lappie 生病了！

其实，它只是的了个小毛病，无伤大雅。。所以尽管它病得相当之久，我都默默的不当一回事。只是当问题影响到我时，心里就会喃喃念着‘为什么它这么不争气阿！’

Lappie 是透过一位在Lappie出生医院的朋友帮我领养回来的。。所以当他知道Lappie 生病后，就一直要我把Lappie交给他，让他隔日上班时能帮我把Lappie 拿回医院让医生们诊断诊断。。而且还保证Lappie 能插队看医生，也不让Lappie留院观察，当日就将Lappie送回我家。我有提到这包挂载送服务吗？这样好的事。。哪儿找啊！

可是。。我好不舍得啊！屈指一算，如果我每天放工不出门，直接回家去，我跟Lappie 所共度的时间邮至少五个小时之多。一个晚上没Lappie 我该怎么过啊。。

这样说，我好像满 “No life” 的。。哈哈。

好。。我下定决心了！十九日。我将把Lappie 交给朋友，让他隔天把Lappie 送进院。

我。。心里已经好不舍得了。

On a separate note… some random issues. =)

[1] I still have not uploaded the NYE’s photos… What am I procrastinating about? I’ll do it by this weekend before I send Lappie in.

[2] I’m going to watch 赤壁II with 1975 after work… So excited!! Heard that the 2nd installment of the show is way better then the first… =)

[3] Bestie is suddenly keen on doing Charity Work for the Old Folks… Her sudden sms last evening took me and QH by surprise! But good one darling!! Very kind of you to think of the least fortunate during all festive seasons and I’m proud of you… I’ll help keep a lookout and see what we can do yar. =)

[4] And ermm… just in case you’re wondering what’s wrong with Lappie. The CD-ROM is kind of faulty, I can’t detect whatever that I load in… But I’m not very affected by it as main purpose of Lappie nowadays is to stream online drama, checking email, MSN and Facebook. See… CD-ROM is not required. =)

[5] Lastly… Thanks RL for your help with my Lappie. He seemed more kan chiong then me about Lappie. But thanks for all the trouble ah. Greatly appreciated! =)

Yesterday FM 93.3 was doing 郑秀文's 特选.. and with much agony, I could acutally sing ALL the songs. That is... from the first till her last album. That speaks alot of my age, and haiz... Time and tide really waits for no one. Dont admit old also cannot.

And today... FM 93.3 is doing the 张卿芳's 特选.. and much to my delight, I could not sing MOST of her songs... Hehe.

Thou I'm old, but not that old after all... =p

有点自欺欺人的感觉。。哈哈。

Dear Bloggie,

I know I'm pretty 'sotong' at times...

But today my 'sotong-ness' really reach a new heights.

Putting on contact lens has been a mundane and daily task...So much so that, I left home with only 1 side of my lens today.

To begin with, my power wasnt that high, hence... in that tiny room of mine, with or without lens, I can navigate and see pretty well. I feel something is not right when I left the house at 6.40am... But the sky is still dark and I'm still in sleepy mode, hence I still didnt link it to the lack of contact lens. Its only when I reached the bus-stop, I started to find things not okie.

Argh.. its okie.

On a separate note, the Tea-Lady caught up with me earlier and told me my eye-lashes looks pretty and natural on me. =)

This must be a good year for me!! I have recieved no less then 1 compliments in the office this week... =)

Good, this have to go on... I like being pretty. =)

[Note: I must have been a super big fan of Sammi 郑秀文. FM 933 is doing a 30min tribute to her and is playing snip-snap of the song from her 1st album in 1996 all the way to her latest. And... here's the scary part. I can sing to all her songs. =x

As my Daddy always says... If only I put in half as much effort into my school work... =p]

我好累啊！

放了两个礼拜的长假，每晚都在追着连续剧。。我从港剧追到台剧，追到没戏看。现在我却再追看美国片，Criminal Minds. 就这样，我的日夜颠倒。。现在到了十二点，我根本睡不着。。所以我现在累死了！

还有，昨晚小娘惹大结局了。。我对他的结局是有些意见，昨晚也在第一时间跟倩发了牢骚。不过，这部连续剧还是终归终局。。并没引起我太大的不满。我一路来对历史有关的事物都得别有兴趣，这部剧让我对那独特的娘热文化有了更深一成的认识。这部剧落幕了，我还真是有点若有所失的感觉。

电台都在播放着“大地回春”和“迎春花”。。我还在等待他们播“财神到”。不过这也表示，春节即将到来！还没买新衣，还没整理房间，还没来得及减肥。。要做得还真是好多还多。

今晚，我要在九点上床睡觉。。我虽爱熊猫，可是我不想变成一只熊猫。 =p

[Edit (2:40pm): So happy... Saw my Admin Manager in the Toilet, and she said I slimmed down... =) Keep it up!! I'm going jogging after work... ]

Its a new year... A new beginning.

And... I started off the new year, with a new hair style. =)

But I seriously kind of regretted it... I don't really like it that much.. But thank God I didnt cut it real short... Its going to grow back in no time... Hopefully in time for CNY...
