Dear Bloggie,

I have uploaded all the photos in Facebook; but as a matter of formality in recording little memories in my life here... I still got to post this up. =)

Bangkok Trip with Bestie (12th - 15th June)

It has been a rather busy week for me... I was on leave on 12th itself... And its only then I found chance to start packing my luggage. Hipopo sitting on top of the luggage with his new friend, a little orange Hipopotamus Uncle XDD bought for me...

Wonderful weather... 蓝蓝的天,白白的云,青青的树,美美的我。。;P

Waiting for Bestie's Brother - Big Cher to come pick me up.

Big Cher came... and went to pick Bestie up at Orchard Road (she's on half day...) and we have to make a quick rush down to Airport...

Taking Cathay again... Err... not to Hongkong thou, thats for August. This flight transit at Bangkok...

A rather empty Airport... The whole enthusism of taking a flight dies on me... =( I guess it must be coz I travelled a little too much lately...

Me and Bestie...

Bestie's very pretty colorful shoes... This is the first and last picture of her very pretty shoes - it die-ed in Bangkok... It cannot take the walking.. =( And my gold gold shoes, bought in Hongkong... =)

Waiting for take-off....

Us again... =)

I have always love in-flight meals... and Cathay have always served me yummy food. My only complain is... no ice-cream.

And we're reaching.... See the plane reflection on the ground??

My first time in the new Bangkok Airport... it is indeed huge. The walk to the custom is damn far...

We waited in-line at this taxi queue and hop onto this big maxi cab... It cost us only 400baht to get to the Hotel. On their expressway... Traffic was rather good all the way, even when we reached down-town.

This is the Hotel that we stayed in... Vie Hotel. It is new and stands out in its surrounding building, just like a rose in the midst of Greens. It is a new, modern and well-maintained building. It is very strategically-located, right opposite Asia Hotel, a mare 2 minutes walk from the BTS. The services are great, I had a wonderful stay there... Definitely will recommand to all. =) The welcome drink is yummy! Thou I got no idea what is it...

And this is the room that I'll be spending the next 4 nights with Bestie... Very spacious and clean, and it got a big toilet. The lay-out is similar to the one I stayed in KL, think all 4-stars Hotels are like that...

Hipopo looking out of the window, getting moody and ignoring me when I told him he is not following me out... My sling Prada is so small, how to bring him out... And I dont want to risk losing him...

And this little fellow... conjouring all the rain clouds. But nothing can stop me and Bestie from exploring the down, not even the storm! Despite being so nottie, Hipopo is so cute in this 2 photos, I love Him to bits and pieces... =)

Me and Bestie taking photo in the lift... the big rain will not deter us from getting into action.

But the rain is really big... so we waited in the Lounge while the Hotel people tried to get us a cab...

The rain is so big; so we seek shelter at MBK... Bestie bought me Ice-cream to cheer me up... Prior to departure, I was in a super gloomy state... =( And btw... DT promised me Ice-cream when I'm back.. I've yet to claim it from him...

And before we start our shopping, we got to fuel ourselves up.. Dont see Bestie 瘦瘦一支骨, she really can eat ALOT!! And she is constantly hungry...

Since its a rainy day... best time to have Steamboat... My fav. =) This is a rather unique concept... All the food are placed on a conveyor belt; so you just take what ever you like and cook in it the individual pot placed on front of you. The variety is nothing to boost about, and they limit us to finish our food withing 1hr 15min. But for 199baht++, we cant complain much right... =) MBK doesnt look interesting; so we took a cab down to Suan Lum Night Market... This is a big market.. selling plenty of things ranging from clothes, shoes, accessories, furniture, ornaments and many others... It is SO warm. But nevertheless, we started out shopping here. =)

Weather is hot and humid... I was all sticky after we cleared 1 section. So we stopped for a drink... Yupz, not hard to guess... Sprite for me and Beer for Bestie. :p

Shortly after... we took a cab back to the Hotel. As our Hotel is tooo new, the cabby does not know his way around... During the negociation time, he actually drove up front to not block traffic, and his wheels went right over Bestie's very colorful shoes... right over her 5 toes. :x But we counted when we got back to the Hotel... there are still 5 toes around. That is not the end of our night... Bestie is hungry and we walked out for some 牛肉面... Its the Road Side Store, so well... I did what I did best: Sit and Stare... Keke, no Road Side Food for me, stomach not good. =) So.. This is what I got from Day 1... Hipopo still not very happy and he said he wanted that Dress. (As if he can wear like that... =_=)

So... it is a very long day. After much coaxing, Hipopo is finally in a better mood.. I tucked him into bed and I fall asleep soon after. =)

Check out the Hotel a little more before we start out day proper... The pool is the edge-less type... Pretty when you see if from this angle, but as I look back to the pool from the BTS... the sight is truly disgusting.. Imagine a body floating just like that in the middle of nowhere... =_=

Bestie buying the BTS ticket... Travelling with Bestie is 幸福的... I simply tag along with nothing to worry and vex... I know I am in good hands and good fun.

We made our way to the famous Erawan Shine... Heard from Bestie its really very 灵...

Got a little hungry... stop by for some Doughnuts. I Love Doughnuts... especially the casturd ones. With the doughnut, we shopped at this Departmental Store @ Zen... They have this very big Sanrio Corner (bigger then the one at Takashimaya) and I went a little berserk. I spent like an hour there, and walk away with 4 My Melody Bento Boxes and a matching Lunch Pourch... Xin is a Happy Girl~~*

And its time for Food again~~* This is ermm.. some steamboat look-alike-thing. Just that instead of stock, they serve plain water... Only towards the meal, out turned the plain water into our own version of 上汤... But nevertheless, the meat is fresh...

Very full and satisfied... We walked a short distance and we reached Platinum Mall. This is a whole-sale shopping centre and I really went mad. This is where I did most of my shopping - everyting (and its really EVERYTHING) is going at 100 - 350 baht.

The interior is not fanciful... But it is fully air-conditioned; so I have no complains about that.

We only manage to cover... the 1st 3 storeys. I was REALLY very tired and we stopped for Ice-cream break. =) Yummy Swensons... This place close early.. around 7pm. So after the Ice-cream break, we went back for some last minute purchases... Then we stopped at the Directory; I was just telling Bestie we did not miss out much as Level 6 are Banks, and Level 5 and 4 are Bags and... shoes. I stunned for a moment here - that's a magic word: 'Shoes'. So we quickly made our way up to Level 4 and 5... All the shops are closing, I am under immerse pressure... But Bestie still manage to walk away with new shoes.. =)

This is our combine Loot for the day from Platinum Mall...

Very very tired... we drag ourselves back to the Shopping Centre. We proceed to the Supermaket there, and once again... we went a little out of control. The photo isnt exactly clear right... Coz from here on, my camera is going down... =( We... didnt have time for dinner, and all the shops were closing... So we pack Japanese Food back to the Hotel. Very pathetic... there are no proper tables we could used, we ended up spreading everything on the floor and eat right in front of the Television...

And... this is my purchases on Day 2. =)

From here on... my camera went died. =( There are still Day 3 & 4; I've got some photos taken from Bestie's Camera Phone... But just wait till I get it from her...

But... sigh... I really miss my camera. =(
