Dear Bloggie,
Had a wonderful weekend. =)
Long wordy post ahead…
Friday
After work, meet up with HY for dinner. Have not seen her since x’mas, so its really nice to be able to do some catching up with her. Met her at AMK, had sushi for dinner… We chatted till the shops are closings, but what to do… There is simply so much stuff to fill up. She is the only one now, whom I have confided in the entire story. HY never fail to give me the ease to open myself up and talk. She never judge, and always have my best interest at heart.
Still not prepared to call it a night, meet up with AY and SS at Hougang. They came pick me up, and off we go to Safra Tampines for bowling. Yesh, you never get it wrong. I’m going bowling. =)
I am still the high-score holder (starting from the back unfortunately) at Kingsmen I think, having successfully bagging the ‘trophy’ for coming in last for 2 consecutive years at their annual Bowling Competition, and no one ever comes near enough to challenge my ‘high score’.
But still, not wanting to stay home alone on a Friday night, I agreed to go bowling with AY and SS, together with SS’s friends. And yesh, I did not fail to meet expectation. I manage to score at 49. A new personal high score record. Although I chipped my nail after the 4th throw, but I really had fun. SS and his friends were all giving me pointers, but I still did plenty of ‘long kang”… And I had fun.
After that around 1plus, a friend drop by to send me home. And just outside the condo beside TP, we spotted an animal on the road. A puppy shih tzu. I made him stop the car in the middle of the road with hazard lights, and both of us went down to catch the dog. Puppy was scare, and he bites me, but nevertheless I manage to coax him in the end and I brought him home. Thou my description sound easy, but trust me its not. We were like running around the road at 2am. But I couldn’t just leave the poor puppy on the road. It’s so aimless and scared, and it’s dashing all over the road by itself. Chances of him surviving are so slim…
It’s just the beginning of my weekend, but happening ah. *smile*
Saturday
Woke up early, coz the doggies was so noisy. Having 3 doggies at home is really not a kidding matter.
Meet AC at Hougang, to buy QH birthday pressie. Then we took MRT down to Chinatown for some shopping. I have all along heard the Chinatown sells cheap working clothes, but have never actually know where the exact location is and how cheap it is. So this is an eye opener for me.
Girls, this is really a cheap place for working clothes. It’s at level 3 at the newly renovated Hawker Centre just beside OG Albert Court. But do not expect it to be air-con with nice comfy fitting room. We are talking about shopping at a Hawker Centre.
AC bought some stuff, and then we queue for the ever famous yong tao fu. The queue is easily 4m long, but I’m really not sure what is so fascinating about it. It tastes pretty normal to me. After the meal, we went back to Hougang, to prepare for dinner.
Dinner is steamboat at my house. I did a count, and we had approx. 15 varieties. A lot right considering its just 4 girls. The bill at NTUC came up to $100; we bought some beers and wine to go along with it.
Cut the story short, dinner’s fantastic. The time spent with the girls was even more fantastic. It’s amazing how much we have grown and mature all these years. Sure, the regular gossips on some old classmates and also some recent updates like what we usually do. But other then that, we also talked about HDB flat, weddings, being future god-mummy to their kids and some other xxx topics. It’s amazing now how the topics discussed changes over the years. We stop eating at 11pm, and we did what we did best. Mahjong.
So with more booze and girlie talk, we mahjong-ed till 6am.
That ends my Saturday. Or it’s more of, Sunday morning.
Sunday
Coz there are 3 doggies in the house, they woke me up at 10am, again.
Supposed to go swimming with HF at 9am, but I sms-ed to cancel it at 6am. No way I could swim when I’m so deprived of sleep.
The house is really dirty with 3 doggies. I couldn’t stand it so I mop the house after I woke up. I so much wanted to get back to sleep after that, but simply couldn’t. The 3 doggies are noisy, my own shih tzu wanted to play with the puppy, but the puppy seemed to be so afraid of it, and kept yapping and running away. With so much yapping, panting and the sound of their paws on the floor, I simply cannot get back to sleep.
So I slack till 3.30pm, AY and SS came over to pick me up, and off to their place. For more mahjong. *smile*
AC played together with us too. And her boyfriend calls from Hong Kong while we’re in the car. He asked what she’s doing with Xin, more mahjong? So I was like please tell him we’re just meeting up for more girlie chat please… I do not want IV to think “xin = mahjong”.
So we mahjong at AY house, and got the maid to buy Ponggol Nasi Lemak for us. It’s so sinful, but it’s so yummy! Did I tell you that my dieting actually works? I have lost 2kg recently, and I can feel my skirts getting looser. I can even wear the levis from Poly, thou still tight, but at least its doesn’t make me uncomfortable.
After dinner and 1 more round of mahjong, we decided to call it a day.
~*~
Actually, I am really grateful for all my friends. For being with me despite me ups and downs. For being with me when I’m lonely, talking to me when I just need to get something off my chest, giving me the confidence I need to move on. Because of all of you, I am sure that I can get through all obstacles. =)
This is a very eventful weekend, thus this post. But I’m sure next weekend will just be as exciting. Coz we’re going out of the house, for more drinking session on Saturday. Not the uncle at void deck beer session, but we’re going to put on our best gears and we’re going clubbing. Can’t wait darlings. =) *and I have totally forgotten about school assignments, omg*
And btw, I have called up SPCA, someone has reported a lost dog at Tampines, which might be the puppy’s owner…
Okie, that’s all for now. Its Monday, hope the whole week will be wonderful for all kae!!
Love,
xin

I’m back from KL!!
DAY 1
When we met that the airport on Friday morning, it occur to us that we both forgot to bring our camera. I really got no idea why did we buy our camera for. Both of us are proud owners beautiful pearl white Sony T10, but it’s seriously under utilized. So we console ourselves that since there are only 2 of us on this trip, and it’s a shopping trip anyway, it might be a bit redundant for photo taking.
So this concludes that the rest of the post will be all in WORDS.
So we happily check in at the Airport at 10am, and reached KL Airport at 11.30am. It’s really fast… After this trip, I seriously recommend everyone fly to KL instead of coach. Its really faster, and not tiring, and most importantly, it really gets you on a holiday mood.
Her uncle came to pick us up at the KL Airport. It’s a 1hr drive to the KL central. We check-in the hotel, and we got a shock of our life… a good one thou.
Our accommodation is at Prince Hotel. It’s a 5 stay hotel situated just opposite the newly opened Pavilion Shopping Centre. The accommodation is fully sponcered by Qian’s Dad, and he generously gave us a 1 bedroom service apartment at Prince Hotel. (Okie, regret no. 1 that we didn’t bring camera) It’s a beautifully furnished room, with a equipped kitchen, dining area, living room area, and of coz a bedroom with a King size bed.
Wasting no time, we quickly put down our stuff, and proceed to KLCC. Which by xin’s standard, it’s a 10min walk from Prince Hotel.
Some points to note to pedestrians in KL
There is seriously a lack of traffic lights on the road.
Even with traffic lights, with the little green man shinning, cars can still horned the pedestrians and drove through the red lights.
Malaysian drivers have no idea whats a ‘Zebra Crossing’. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I always thought ‘Zebra Crossing is a international symbol. NO CARS stop at zebra crossings.
So well, Qian and myself performed numerous spectacular jay-walking stunts, and always end up running across the road, like we’re some fugitives…
Okie, so we’re at KLCC. Its crowded. So by 6pm, we intend to walk back to Pavilion, our plan was to find some good Japanese food there. But when we walk out of KLCC, we realized that its raining, heavily. So we decided to take a cab back to Pavilion. At the taxi stand, we stop 2 cabs… And they daringly want to charge us MYR20 for the trip back to Pavilion.
By xin’s standard, it’s a 10min walk from Pavilion to KLCC. And they want to charge us MYR20!!! Call this day light robbery. So of coz, we refuse to part with the money… We ended up having dinner at Nippon Tei. Which was not what we have in mind a ‘Good’ Japanese food. But, well… we are 2 stingy girls which refuse to part with that MYR20.
But nevertheless, it was a hearty meal with hotplate shells, BBQ eels and guoza… And it cost us MYR100.
Its close to 9pm, and we realized that its still raining. Not wanting to spend MYR20 on cab, we went to the supermarket, bought a MYR7.99 brelly, and both of us walk back to Pavilion.
Reached Pavilion, realized they have late night shopping till 11pm! So we continues to shop and walk…
And finally at 11.30pm, we retired back to the ever welcoming hotel… =)
We had a quick shower, put on the mask, and promptly fall aslp…
DAY 2
Woke up early, and after an hour of preparation both of us was pretty to go… 2 pretty girls decked out in dresses today…
We had our breakfast at lvl 10 of the hotel, away from the usual hotel lobby crowd. This is specially catered for the apartment guests. So well, it’s definitely exclusive, and not to mentioned that the service is more personalized, and the food is not the usual ‘buffet fare’… A quick look around, we appear to be the only Chinese. The other were mostly Caucasians, with a handful of Japanese…
Not wanting to waste too much time, we made our way to Pavilion, and begin our shoe hunt again. We were there till noon, then we decided we had enough of Pavilion, and took a cab to another maga shopping complex – Mid Valley.
We were a little thirsty, and slightly hungry when we reached Mid Valley. So we settled down at Secret Recipe for a break. We chose Secret Recipe over Starbucks, thinking we’re kind of tired, and would want to be served. Rather then self-service.
And this turned out to be A BIG MISTAKE!
The service is HORRIBLE!
So well, I don’t want to go into details… BUT I’ll not give Malaysia’s secret recipe another chance again, unless due to very extreme circumstances.
So we continue our shopping at Mid Valley after the break… Plenty of cardio workouts there. We finally decided that we are very tired, so we settled down at a dainty place, for our medi/ pedicure. This is really a very self-pampering trip… =)
After the medi/ pedicure, we wanted to find a nice place for dinner… Maybe at Pavilion since it’s a much more ‘atas’ place… So there should be plenty more choices since we are really keen to go all out to pamper ourselves. But unfortunately, its raining again. -_-
And as we are super stingy with the cabby overcharging us, we decided to eat at Mid Valley… We look through the directory, and decided on Korean Food. And my oh my. This is definitely a treat. =)
It is a very small shop, located on the ‘balcony’ level of lvl 3. We had a hard time locating it, and when we finally do, we have no regrets. They serve authentic Korean BBQ, all served by native Koreans… 2 girls, and we ordered 2 different type of meat, which the waitress said it’s enough for 3 people. -_-
We had a satisfied meal, BBQ-ing on a cold raining day is so fantastic! And the meal cost us less then MYR 80. CHEAP!!
By then, we have really covered the whole Mid Valley, we decided to take a cab back to Pavilion. And finally, we met a over-friendly cabby, who talked the entire trip… But he charge us based on the meter, like Singapore. The total fare came up to MYR 8, but we paid him a 10 and asked him to keep the change. =)
Its 9pm at Pavilion… We combed the shops again. And funnily, shoes that doesn’t catch my eyes in the morning, caught my eye just then… So we bought some more. =)
By 10plus, shops are closing and we are really bashed. But still not willing to return to the apartment just yet we found a nice pub at Pavilion and we seat down for a drink. I must say that their cocktail seemed to have a higher alcohol content as compared to Singapore. First sip, and you can really feel the punch. Unlike the local ones, which normally taste more mocktail…
We chilled out till around 12.30am, and made our way back to the apartment… I am tired, but I have to start packing. So by the time both us showered, put on another mask and go to bed, its close to 2am.
DAY 3
Woke up bright and early too, went for breakfast at lvl 10 again. We wasted no time, and we made our way to Pavilion. We made appointment for a full package spa at 10.30am. This is a very unique spa, it begins with putting your feet in a pond, and little fishes will swim around your feet, ‘eating’ the dead skin. And follow by a feet, shoulder and head massage. Both of us were very excited about the fishes, and we reached Pavilion at 10am. We shopped around a bit more, I bought more earrings, and finally at 10.30am we made our way down.
Okie, great disappointment. We saw that the shop was not opened yet, and there are 2 ladies standing outside the shop. We approached them, and they told us the shop encountered short circuit last night, and will not be on operation today… *sad*
We were very upset, but nevertheless we do not want to waste our last day there. So we walked to KLCC, coz we remembered there’s this shop we passed by the other day that offers massage services. Both of us did a full relaxing body massage there.
Not the very best, not okie, better then nothing.
After which we walked back to the hotel, the cab that Qian’s dad arranged to pick us up to the Airport is already waiting for us.
And this, is my 3D2N KL Trip with Qian. =)
Okie, what I have buy back:-
3 pairs of Shoes
4 pairs of Earrings
2 Tops
Not a lot I know… but well, nothing really caught our eye.
But we still have a splendid holiday.
Quite wasted that we didn’t bring our camera along, coz there are plenty of interesting happenings that should have gone down in pictures.
I have a most wonderful time with Qian, I thank her for spending the time with me. Being the best companion anyone can ever wished for.
And today is this girl’s birthday, so I also want to wish Qian: HAPPY BIRTHDAY GER!! Still got to go through the formality. I still want to wish you all happiness, and wishes come true. Stay pretty and grow an inch taller, we’ll go in search of our true prince charming together kae. =)
~*~
This trip, also ended the 4yr coming 5yr relationship with Xiang. I truly felt how insignificant I am to him, and I definitely believe I deserved someone better. I do not want to strain the relationship further. I’m not going to talk about this further, just leave things as it is for the time being…
I always thought happiness is in my own hands, but I realized that its not. It takes 2 hands to clap, I cannot create happiness simply out from my own hands. =)

Dear Bloggie,
Much has happened..
Plenty of ups and downs.
I'm fine now.. In alot of ways..
The wedding is over, I have plenty to update about the wedding.. I had so much fun, and I was tearing away when no one is watching.. It is indeed an tiring day, thou I’m not the bride, but I definitely run around more then the bride.. Okie, save this for the next entry, when I’ve got the photos.. But nevertheless, I still offer up my warmest wishes to Adeline and Steven.. =)
My final year semester 1 in school is half over. Till now, so far so good. But I see plenty of assignments due in April. After this long weekend, I seriously need to start working on it.
Work wise, things are getting pretty stagnant. Thou I do not have much work to do in this new environment, but I got no idea why time passes so fast.. Might be the msn. But its nice.. I’m keeping touch with long-time friends like HF, E, BM and J on a daily basis.. And thou it feels good to be paid to msn during office hours, but I think this is not a long term solution. After April, I might start job hunting again...
But work aside, a long weekend is round the corner.. I’ll be going KL with Qian. And due to the biggest joke Singapore ever had made in her Modern History, we will be flying to KL this time round… A 3D2N short trip. For us to catch up on our recent happenings, and also to stock up shoes..
Relationship. Okie, this is a sensitive topic for me now.. Guess plenty of the ups and downs came from here. But well, after so much I realized I do not really know what I want.
One thing I know is, I have grown up. I am no longer that spoilt princess I am years ago.
But that doesn’t mean I do not want to be treated like a princess still..
Well, this is a never ending topic. And I’m not in the mood to discuss it in depth today.
And lastly.. I realized that I do indeed have fantastic friends around me. Thank you so much for waving that light at me when I was at the bottom of the valley. Showing me care and concern and pulling me out. You have no idea how a sms/ msn checking me out meant so much to me. It might be kind words, it might be harsh words.. But nevertheless, I know you meant the best for me. And I really appreciate it.
That all for now.. Hope the next update will be the one for the wedding..
Till then, take care.

Dear Bloggie,
I am pretty much single now. Again.
So yupz, I am refusing to attend any gatherings where 50% of the participants are going to bring their significant half.
PS* Ermm.. I am fine with Ivan and Eugene. No worries about it… Coz their ermm.. Vase to us. (Don’t tell them kae...)
~*~
I met up with Ade for her wedding schedule discussions on Friday. And also to meet her friend, the other bride’s-maid-to-be”..
It turned out that both of us are “first-timers”, thank god another friend of her’s (married with 2 kids) joined us for dinner, and gave plenty of pointers…
Apparently, getting married is definitely not an easy task.
Especially when it’s a week away.
She have not got her itinerary done, she got no idea what time to wake up, what time to leave the house, and who should be in-charge of what, what time to reach Sentosa, when to start the dinner, the sequence of walk in during dinner.. And miscellaneous items like the Ang Bao box, the basket for the flower girl to put the rose petals, the “flower brooch” thingie for parents and etc.
But we discussed till 11pm, finally most of the more important stuff were settled.
Anyway, I can’t tell you how envy I am. Getting married at 25 is my dream since 17. (And the guy whom I planned to settle down at 17, called me saying his applying for HDB with his gf some time back. Thou application is not successful coz he don’t like the location, but secretly I am glad it doesn’t work out. -_-“ evil me) But obviously, I don’t even have a suitable partner now.. So disappointed.
At times I’ll look back and ask myself. I’m turning 25 this year, if I could leave till 75, I have completed one-third of my life journey. I really got no idea what have I achieved.
1. I have a job that pays me okie, and a boss that really wants to train me up, planning trips to Taiwan and Japan to visit Suppliers and introducing me to colleagues around the globe, welcoming me to the big MNC environment. But yet I still can’t say it’s a career.
2. I am still trying hard to save up my first bottom-line. Achievable before I turn 25 in July, guaranteed. But meaning I got to give up my Orlando trip in May to DisneyWorld…
3. This is the most upsetting point. I am still no where near marriage. Not even ROM. Not even applications for HDB. Now, not even the “Correct” partner.
Oh yesh, the only thing I have gain, and have gained plenty, is FATS/ WEIGHT.
Thou I’m still trying to shake off that extra pounds, and the diet regime have at least help maintain and control my current status, I am still a distant away from the jeans I wore when I was 20. -_-“
This is a pretty depressing entry. The next one, hopefully, will be better.. =)
I’ve got problems with my laptop; I can’t upload the photos from my camera to it. Time for a new laptop... (This puts me further away from my bottom-line)… I’ve got plenty of photos, and I’m sure more of the wedding.
How?
