2008 Year End Trip

Day 5 (Taipei & Hongkong)

My eye swell up real badly... And to make it worst, it hurts quite badly... Wanted to see a Doctor, but got no idea where to find one, and also do not know if it could be trusted... So called up Bestie, and got her help me keep a look-out for Doctor so I could go once I reached Hongkong.

This is part of my itinerary... 龙山寺. Only one MTR stop away from the Hotel I'm staying.

Ermm... A Temple. When I arrived, some chanting session is going on... Quite a number of devotees gathered for the chanting session. Seems like this Temple got quite a reputation.

The main reason behind my visit... To 拜月老. I googled online, and found 2 月老庙 in Taipei. The one at 龙山寺 got quite a good reputation, hence I decided to pay him a visit... I got a piece of 红线 from 月老, lets all pray for my 姻缘.. =)

Still the Temple...

Ermm.. Trying to find breakfast around the Temple, but after walking a few rounds still to no avail. But I stumble upon their local wet market...

Since I cant find breakfast near the Temple, I went back to Ximending.. For MacDonald. Its alot cheaper then the MacDonald in Singapore...

And after being cut-off from the 'line' for 3 full days... I finally found connection at MacDonald. I am never this happy to see this screen appearing once again. =)

This is supposed to be a very famous 卤味... But somehow, ermm... I do not find it nice. =p

And this too... Fried Carrot Cake, Taiwanese Style. I do no like it too... =(

And then... I made my way to the Airport. I was informed that an earlier flight was available, so I was put on an earlier flight to the Land of H&M and Mango...

This is pretty yummy... =) I really like Aircraft Food. =p

And after a short flight... I'm finally standing on the same piece of Land as Bestie... =)

I took the Airport Train to Town. This is alot faster then the Bus! So the next time I go Hongkong, I'll definately opt for the Train... *sigh* Look at my eye... =(

The only flaw of taking the Train... To change the Train from Hongkong station to other lines, there is a long long walk... And having the lug a luggage is not easy task...

This is the train I managed to squeezed into... I really got no idea how I am going to get out of the cabin at Causeway Bay...

And wheres my first stop?? Hehe... 许留山！ My favorite Mango... =)

HF, Bestie and myself... So happy to see familiar faces after days of independence. =)

And knowing my love for Steamboat, Bestie kept a look out for Steamboat store for the past 2 days. And thats the first stop we went too... Right after I landed. Yupz... right after I landed. With the luggage and all... But as the queue is too long, we waited at 许留山 for the table..

This is the condiments that they offered... 12 in total.

And... we found this weird one. Wikipedia anyone?

And Beer is cheap in Hongkong... HKD 20 for 3 cans. So... Hongkong is not only the Land of H&M and Mango, but also the Land of Beer. =p

Yum yum... =)

After Steamboat, we made our way back to HF's house... You know you're Loved, when HF is carrying Bestie's shopping (and that include a very very big packet of chestnut) and Bestie is lugging my 19.2kg luggage... And me? All I'm carrying is my Gucci. =)
