Dear Bloggie,

10th - 12th April 2008 - My Annual KL Trip with QH

Day 1
Once again, we took a flight to KL. It is a faster more convinient way of travelling... We reached the Changi Airport T1 just slightly after 7am for our 8:55am flight. The day before, I caught a mid-night show with SBK; and was still packing my luggage at 3am. So... I am seriously very tired. After checking-in, we proceed to Killiney Kopitiam for Breakfast.

Just eggs... =) This time round... we took Air Asia.

The flight is pretty full...

And up into the air we go... =) Okie... I dozed off. But the 50min flight ended with a blink of the eye...

QH's Dad came to the Airport to pick us up... And we're on the road again. And this time, I really fall asleep... Reached the Hotel after an hour journey... This time round, we checked into Gardens Hotel, which is located just above Gardens Shopping Centre (which is situated right beside The Mid-Valley). Our room... Very new, very clean and very spacious.. It got a lovely toilet which comes complete with bath tub and a rainforest shower.. And oh... QH and myself are not alone. Hipopo was there too.. =) Right after we put our stuff down in the Hotel room, we wasted no time and went down to Mid Valley.

Our first stop is this Korean Restuarant in Mid Valley. Need to refuel ourselves before we begin 'working-out'. We were here a year ago and I love the food here... Yummy! Just as I remember it... The food is yummy! Me like. Korean Beer to complete the meal.. At the end of the day... 我的战利品。We shopped too hard and totally forgot about food. After we left our shoppings in the Room, we went back to Mid Valley in search of food. We had Jap Food for Dinner.. I actually quite like this place; not coz the food is anything to rave about. But rather, they served Rice (like Katsu Don or Curry Rice) and Noodle in small portions. How small a portion are we talking about here... In the same small plates that is used for the belt sushi. So this means, we can have a great variety of food. Fantastic concept. After a good meal; we proceed back to the Hotel for a well-deserved rest. =)

Day 2

Started our day bright and early! Breakfast at the Hotel... the spread is rather good. =)I like the waffle! After breakfast, we took a cab down to Pavilion. It is just how I remember it to be, and QH went on a shopping spree there. After we're done with Pavilion, we walked to KLCC. But they are having a IT Fair at the convention centre (which is very near KLCC) hence KLCC is over-crowded. We did not stay long as the crowd is kind of annoying, so we took a cab back to the Hotel to put our shopping down. We were kind of tired; so we rested for awhile in the Hotel. Then we went down to Mid Valley in search of food. This time round, we went to Madam Kwan. Long queues was forming, so we assume they are rather popular in Malaysia. Okie... this might sound a little scary. Between 2 girls, I had a Nasi Lemak which QH had a Assam Laksa. And on top of that, we had a Char Kway Tiao to share... =pWe shopping around Mid Valley and retire back to the Hotel. Guess age is really catching up; both of us are real tired this trip... We are not walking as much as the previous years. And this is my loot from Day 2. Very little right... =(

Day 3

Woke up bright and early too (would love to sleep in; but cheapskate us does not want to miss the Breakfast).. Waffles again... =) Anyway, Gardens Hotel is a 5-star Hotel. So we thought it'll be such a pity if we did not explore the Hotel a little (Oh... that's the reasoning we gave ourselves too when we spend a little more time in the room. Its RM400/night, hence we have to 'fully-utilise' the room). We had plans to visit this Kenzo Fish Spa during our KL trip last year. But on that faithful day, a little unfortunate inccident happened and plans were scraped. This year however, we finally got to pay them a visit. =) There are 3 different pools; Small Fish, Medium Fish and Large Fish. So... obviously we went for the Small Fishes pool. QH Feet with the Small Fishes... And me with the Fishes... When I first immerse my feet in, and the fishes ermm.. start feeding on me, my first reaction is... Scream. Its rather ticklish, and takes some getting-used to. But I really did not enjoy it. I know this is not very clear... due to the lighting and the movement. But this is the Big fish.. QH tried immersing her feet in, and said the bites actually hurts a little. -_-" After the awful (and definitely my first and last) experience with the fishes, we proceed for our massage. The massage is good! We checked-out of the room after our massage and took a cab to the Airport. Our last meal in KL... Marybrown's chicken. And with that... we proceed to the Departure Gate and begin our journey back home. =)
