Dear Bloggie,

I had thought that Office had blocked Blogspot just like it has blocked Facebook. But well, seemed that I’m wrong as I can actually get in now. Guess I got my password wrong earlier on.

[WORK]

I started work in my current Company in January 2008. I am in Procurement; but it is only till last week then I realized that I am in Global Procurement. Well, this might be a miscellaneous detail in good times; but with the current economy climate this is a critical piece of information.

As I was told, being in a MNC… Usually cuts will happen to Division before they touch on Global. Not too sure how true is this, but nevertheless it is great to know more about my own position in the Company.

[FRIEND]

LL and ZH are Soulfly’s Poly friends. They are a couple and have started dated back in Poly days… LL went to Australia for her Degree while ZH stayed on in Singapore serving the army. But after LL’s first year in Australia (which she passed with flying colors) she returned back to Singapore as she misses ZH too much. They are indeed the most Loving Couple I have ever come across… LL found a job and waited one year for ZH to finish NS, and together they flew to Australia to finish their Degree.

Back then… I seriously thought I’ll be attending LL and ZH’s Wedding when they come back to Singapore after getting their Degree.

Unfortunately, fairytales does not always happen in reality. Not too sure of the details, but the couple separated. They are together for close to 6 or 7 years I guess… Some time later, I saw both of them posting up photos of their new partners. And just last weekend, LL is blissfully engaged. (Not to ZH of course…)

[FINANCE]

After my Prada purchase in February, I did good in March. My credit card bill is less then $500 for March and I am so proud of myself for curbing spending. Keep it up!!

[SLEEP]

I always have problem falling asleep every Sunday night. I was up till 3am last night, and woke up at the first alarm at 5am. I am super sleepy today, and am rather glad that the day is coming to an end.

But at moments like this, I do yearn for a Harbor to dock on.

Dear Bloggie,

Busy weekend.. I'm now watching 康熙来了 online, so let's keep this short and sweet. =)

[1] Had dinner with Bestie on Friday evening after work at 鼎泰丰@ Tampines Mall.. Rushed home after home and prepare to Dragonfly with colleauges... Ermm, the guys really got very high. I left early... AL came by to send me home...

[2] Woke up early on Saturday... Had Brunch with TT at Sakae Sushi @ Hougang Mall... I was kinda tired still, but TT was hungry so... there goes all my jogging efforts.

[3] Rushed home... slacked a little. And went to HL's house for mahjong. Been ages since I last played and I emerged as the biggest player that night!! 所谓情场失意,赌场得意。。

[4] Left HL's house around 9plus... took a cab and rushed down to Dragonfly again. =) Yes... Dragonfly again. But today is with QH and Bestie.

[5] Drink... not alot. But... okie, I'm lousy. I seriously dont do well with Beer, I guess I can't take carbonated alcohol? Left around 1+am, and got into a 'too-fast-too-furious' cab... And I reached home, first thing is to hug my toilet bowl and the Pizza and Drumplets I ate at HL's house earlier all got wasted... -_-

[6] Woke up with a heavy head and took a cab down to One Fullteron with Bestie for Brunch at Jing @ One Fullerton, followed by coffee at The Coffee Bean @ One Fullerton.. Had a super 太太 Sunday with the Girls... Me Like. =)

[7] I know this is super breif... but will upload the photos later this week. =)

[8] Its the end of the week... in a couple of hours will be the arrival of a new week...

[9] Have a great week ahead everyone!!

[10] Love, xin. =)

Dear Bloggie,

This is a post... specially for my Best Girl, Qian. We're turning 26 this year, and this pettie girl is the first of us to turn 26. =)

Dinner was at Dozo @ Valley Point... I am not too sure if this could qualify as Fine Dining, but the service is excellent, and food is yummy!

Dozo served a 7 course dinner; and there are serveral options for each course where you could choose from. I called and made a reservation earlier that week and was given a room for our own. Maximum privacy... me like!

After the waiter has informed us how the Menu works and left us to look through the Menu. In the meanwhile, we're served Mango Juice in Shooters...

The entire setting is classic and warm... These are 'Flour Stix' to munch on while deciding on the courses...

After the waiter came in once again and start giving us a run-through on the dishes, and which are their chef recommandations, we finally placed our orders. Our first Group Photo... =)

This is the Starters... Pan-seared Scallops, Foir Gras and Salmon.

I had the Giant Crab Slaw Salad for Appetizer.. Its a little too salty for my liking.

This is my Side Dish... This is supposed to be Mushroom done in 2 ways. The one on the right is pan-fried mushroom with baked pastry; while the one on the left is deep-fried marsh potato. I do not know where the mushroom appears in 2 ways; but nevertheless.. this is Yummy!

I just ate with SBK before meeting the girls hence I was not hungry... Opted for Miso Soup while the rest had Creamy Soup... =)

My Main... Sake Unagi on Hot Stone... The Unagi is nicely done, the sake compliment it so well that it has this subtle sweet taste. Me Like!

After the heavy meal, I had a refreshing chilled Fruity Tea. The Fruity Tea is light and refreshing, very very nice! And oh... I so Love the Teapot. =p

When I called up for the reservation, I had informed them that we have a Birthday Girl in the House... A Little Surprise they had for Qian.. And after SO many years, we finally sang a Birthday Song for the Birthday Girl.. =)

Happy Birthday Darling!

There are 8 different Deserts on the Menu... The waiter sees that we cannot make up our mind on which to order, hence he gave us all 8 different types of Derserts with 2 servings for the Chocolate Fondant. =) He said this is a special compliments on the House for 4 Pretty Ladies...

With the Derserts, we ended Dinner.

Price of Dinner: $280+

Price of Company: Priceless...

Plans to Zouk for Apple Shooters was scrapped; and we ended up at Pump Room @ Great World City...

Cheers~~* To our Friendship. =)

A windy night... 4 Girls talking about everything under the stars. My Mojito is delicious... =)

Pretty pretty me... =p (Of coz pretty lah... so dark, everything also cannot see. -_-)

Once again... Happy Birthday Darling. Decades of Friendship does not come easy; it is indeed Destiny that bring the Four of us together. Thank you for being my Pillar of Support physically and emotionally through the good and bad time. Hereby wishing you may all your wishes come true!

Love, xin.

Dear Bloggie,

.Random.

1. I was on leave on Friday... Took the 3 Baby Cousins out for a movie - Hotels for Dogs. Picked them up at my Granny's House and went to Tampines Mall. Gwyn was telling me she is so excited and was looking forward to the movie trip since Monday. I felt so appreciated and all the efforts and money are well-spent... =)

2. Busy Saturday... Woke up early, and went for KTV with SBK... When I said early, I really meant early... Its like, we are both up at 7am, and planned to meet at 11am. So its KTV from 11am to 2pm, then we went for a 2+pm show... I am always against Horror, but since I've watched most of the show, we settled for 'Coming Soon'. Its a Thai Horror show...

3. Since its still early after the show and I've craving for Tao Hway, we walked over to the Hawker Centre... We... really only ate the Tao Hway. But the temptation was toooo huge, we ended up ordering Satay Beehoon and Char Kway Tiao. No regret... its... yummy. =p In fact all the food at the Hawker Centre looks yummy... We planned to try the Chicken Rice with a never-ending-queue this week.

4. After that I took a train down to Town to meet the Besties... I was kind of late. The Char Kwya Tiao has that lingering smell on me, so we walked back to his car for the perfume he kept in the car. Got a little lost in the carpart, and the drive to MRT station was slow down by heavy traffic.

5. Dinner at Dozo @ Valley Point with Besties to celebrate QH's Birthday. Service is wonderful, and food is good... The only flaw is that night for me is... I didnt get to enjoy the food as much as I like to as I'm kind of full with the Char Kway Tiao. But well.. I'll do up a separate post on QH's Birthday Dinner... =)

6. After dinner drinks at Pump Room at Great World City... I always love the sit down chill out talk with the Girls... =) And KL... we are always here to listen and offer advice when needed. I hope everything turned out fine for you, but do remember... Marriage is for Life. Trust, Communication and Compromise are essentials for a Blissful Marriage.

7. A Home-sweet-Home Sunday... Took a nap in the afternoon and I couldn't sleep at night... I ended up watching SATC Movie all over again and finally forced myself to sleep at 2am. As a result, I am super tired now... =(

Today is a Brand New Week... Hope it'll be a wonderful week ahead for all. =)

Dear Bloggie,

I seemed to be having a 1 week delay in posting up stuffs now.

Celebrated my Baby Cousin's Birthday last weekend... Its a kids party and family event.

It is a rainy weekend... But it sure did not dampen the mood. My aunts and uncles made a 'made-shift' shelter so the BBQ could continue.

My uncle... cook for the nite. =) I always love Chalets and BBQ.. I do not mind planning and paying one for Friends, but what always never fail to disappoint me is the poor turn-out rate. Hence its been ages since we last had one. But thank God my family always has gathering of such... now you know where my 'Chalet and BBQ' genes came from... =)

Birthday Girl's classmate...

A whole series of events was lined up for the kids... I am not very sure what games they played as I was ermm... walking around?

I absolutely LOVE the cake... It had a 'pop out' 10. Its a chocolate sponge cake with lots of fresh cream... Super yummy, just the way I like it. I actually ate alot of cake that night..

Saw the candles? Its those long 'skinny' type...

Group photo with the kids...

My Baby Cousin... Time really flies. She is already 10... Oh... btw... She is the Darling who create the 'crip' joke.

One last look at the cake which I absolutely Love... =)

Me and Granny... My favorite Grand-parent. I stayed with her since Baby as I had a working Mummy... She is the one who accompany me to Nursery, Kindergarden, Pre-school and Primary School for the first day. The Granny who Loved me dearly, providing me with all the Best stuff in the world. Thou I no longer stay with her, but I still Love her. =)

And... a pretty Me to end the post. =)

Dear Bloggie,

[Edited]

TMD... I really buay tahan this MAN in my office. BTW... Calling him a MAN is already an over-statement.

I AM in Procurement, I do Purchasing. Every department in the office has their own Cost Centre. When your stationary is running low, you DO NOT come running to me and ask me to give you some out of my OWN department stash.. You jolly well go put up a PR and go through the proper chanel to get it.

You DO NOT come to me and tell me your pen ran out of ink and want me to give you one out of my own department's budget. I know its just A PEN. If you are on the 'friend-friend' status with me, I will definitely give it to you... I pride myself as a pretty generous girl by nature. BUT if all along I am already quite tu lan with you for various reasons, then what makes you think I'll offer you this convinience.

So when I tell that Fucker to go raise the PR and get the pen himself, he told me its kind of silly to do it for just ONE PEN. Which I totally agree... So I told him to go ask around in his department, I'm sure there will be others who needs some stationary too... But this Fucker is simply a self-fish and self-centered CB who DO NOT want to be of service to others...

And you know what that Fucker did... He left the pen... w/o the ink tube, on my table. WTF!

Give me for what?? Cant you just fuckingly throw it away? You think my table is a rubbish bin or what?

I am fucking angry now. Yupz, over a silly pen. NO... its more of that Fucker's action disgusted me immersely. CB leh... I totally buay tahan...

How can such a Fucker ever exist...

[Edited: In the short time frame of 2hr, no less then 8 people has came to learn about this matter... My finance colleauge even bitched with me on their own version of agony caused by the Fucker, and my Manager is also roped in for the bitching session... -_-]

Dear Bloggie,

I have to agree that Kids do indeed say the Darnest Things... But at times, they not only Say it... They also MSN it...

gwyneth says:
haha u know who's crip i am wearing?
Angel looking for laLa land.. says:
crip?
gwyneth says:
yup
Angel looking for laLa land.. says:
wats tat?
gwyneth says:
the crip that i crip my hair

For that moment I thought my English is worst then a 10 year old... Coz I got no idea what's a Crip... I have already opened up Dictionary.com and is just about to go find out the meaning...

I... almost fall down my chair. -_-"

Dear Bestie,

I still find it hard to Forgive You for whatever had happened.. That is one of the worst blow You have ever inflicked on me, and I have never in my worst nightmare thought that You will ever do such a thing to me. I have Love You and Trusted You and I'm pretty sure you are aware of that.

But...

"They say nothing lasts forever; dreams change, trends come and go, but friendships never go out of style."

Life has never been a bed of Roses; I'm still trying hard to cope and regain a balance with my emotional well-being. I know Fate has been curel and Life has been tough for You at the moment, but I really cannot and will not take that first step out to reach out to You. You created the Mess; You got to Clear it up Yourself. With all due honesty, Time is really a Great way to heal broken hearts and mend relationships... But at times, catalyst is also needed. By saying You have no idea what to do next is definitely not a good way to solve matters. You know Me... I'm excellent in playing the whole Cold War Game; We've been there, done that.

Till you're ready... I'll be waiting.
Dear Bloggie,

This... will be just... me, trying to get something off my chest. Just this 5min, let me put my guards down for this 5min. 人,始终是会累的。

I... realized that I did not cry at all. Not when I left Soulfly last year, and not even a tear drop for Grouchy Bear.

It scares me...

Did I forgotten how to Love, or I have been hurt and been let down too many times till I am immune and numb to it.

Either way... its kind of sad.

Right now, I simply felt a void in my life... And I hope that someone or something can come into my life to fill up that void...

I... am tired.

I no longer want to appear to be okie and keep up that jolly front in front of everyone. I just want to find a quiet place, under the stars, a friend to sit by my side, and let my tears flow. For My Losts... Maybe.

ButI guess its more of... a channel to let out all the negative emotions that I have built up within me.

我也是人,我。。好累。

我并没你们想想得坚强、勇敢。。

Okie... back to reality.

I will be Alright.

Dear Bloggie,

I was saying... I watched quite abit of Movie recently. So I thought I could just list it down... I have watched the following from February till now...

The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons... Went for this show at Pasir Ris with QH, CW and Grouchy Bear one Friday night... Nice show! Just that we failed to notice that this show is 3hours long, and being a late Friday night, I almost fall asleep in the cinema...

After all the Hoo Haa The Slumdog has created at the major Pictures Awards, I catched this with QH on Valentine's Day... It is indeed a good one, and the 'Shit-Boy' left a very deep impression. =)
His just not that into you.. I saw this with QH and CW at Pasir Ris... QH was having Exams on that weekend, so after we seen the show, CW sent QH home and we went for a joy ride trying to find a place for a drink... A show where many Ladies are nodding their heads along with some classic sence. Realities in Life.. at times, is really cruel.

Reaching for the Stars

I cannot find the picture for this... But this is the Chinese show staring 刘德华and舒琦。俊男美女的组合。A very typical Cinderella Story... but still nice. =) Just feel like seeing a show, and I have seen most of the show back then, so went for this with XG at Orchard Ceni-leisure.

Ooh... This is one show which I really want to see. So I went to see it on the first day it started... I was chasing the Drama and hence, this is a 'must-see'!! I had always like the Detective sort of shows.. and this did not disappoint. The little romance spin added an additional twist to the Story. Ermm... I think I saw this with XG at Vivo.

Departures... I seen the trailer in the Cinema when I was watching Detective Galileo... I was quite keen to see this show back then... This is really very different from the main stream movie. I find the show very depressing as it circulates around Death, and knowing that I do not take Departures well so I was quite affected. I was tearing throughout the show, but fortunately there are plenty of quirky jokes here and there to lift up the mood a litt.

And finally this... DragonBall... =)

Quite a lot of shows right... And more to come I guess. =p

Dear Bloggie,

This is a long over-due post... But still, better late then nothing. =) This is my virgin road trip to Malaysia with QH and her Poly Friends. It's simply a 'on-the-road' and 'eat-and-eat' trip.. Many laughter and many rain... I had fun. =)

We meet up at Jalan Kayu for Lunch and around 2pm, we proceed to Woodlands Causeway Immigration. There was a jam, but nevertheless, 8 of us in 2 cars arrived in Johor just after 5pm.

CW said he had sent an email to the 'Authorities-up-there' for good weather, but apparently... the 'Authorities-up-there' did not answer his prayers. =p

Me and QH in Fried Rice's car... Fried Rice rendered real 'good service'... Hehe, constantly checking with us if we need sweets and water, and if the air-con temperature is correct. My only complain... the only Mandarin Songs he has are from the 1990s. =p

CW was in the same car with us...

And Fried Rice behind the wheels... He... camara shy. =p

And we begin our long long journey on the North-South Highway...

Sun has set when we reached Malacca... Our first stop is to Jonker Walk.

It was still raining when we reached... And there is only 1 umbrella for 8 of us. So we offered it to the ST's wifey... who is preggie! =) So... we are all drenched.

They had wanted to eat the famous Nonya Laksa, but the rain was too big for us to navigate to find the place. And a Hungry Man is a Grouchy Man, so they venture into the 'small lane' and decided to stop for Dinner at the first joint they saw. Err... This is something very new for me; I dont usually dine at Road Side Store...

We were sitted along the corridoor of some shophouses. It is still raining heavily, and all of us are wet and hungry. And on thing about this Jonker Walk... It is dotted with Red Latterns and Red Lights... Which I found a little eerie and kind of like a Red Light District.

Our starters... Malacca Fried Kway Tiao. Err... so-so only.

This is what I meant by Red Lanterns everywhere... They are simply everywhere. I begin to suspect this might be the Lunar New Year Decorations that they have yet to removed.

Wantan Mee... I know QH does not like it. I'm already quite full from my Fried Kway Tiao hence I dont really fancy it too... The guys displayed typical Singapore spirit of 'Kiasu-ism'. They Wantan Mee came in 3 sizes... Small - RM 2.50, Medium - RM 2.80, Large - RM 3.20. They wored out that the different in SGD is so inmaterial, so they ordered it Large. and boy... it did came as Large! The noodles mountained and its like 2 portion of the regular Wantan Mee we usually have in Singapore. -_-"

And our Desert... this is Super Yummy!! Me Love! Its super soft and smooth... And as I'm typing this, I am still thinking of the Tao Huay... =p

The rain stopped as we finished Dinner... and we walked back to the 'Main Street'.. More Red Lantern along the way...

After the rain, Jonker Walk is real crowded... And we identified many fellow Singaporeans simply base on our accent. We are SO easily identifiable. =p

Malacca is rich in nonya culture (I think)... Many of the shophouses still eludes the beautiful engravings on the walls... Pretty, me like! And yar... more Red Lanterns. =p QH's friends were busy shopping, while QH and myself are hanging around waiting for them... Like what Fried Rice said, QH and I do not shop at 'Pasar Malam'... *smile*

Close to 11pm, and we hit the road again... Our next stop - Muar (I think). We stopped by for more food, before arriving at our first pit stop. This apparently is a place where they serve good Dried Mee Hoon Kway. Yupz... more Road Side Stores... -_-"

Ermm... As I am still VERY full from my Fried Kway Tiao, Wantan Mee and Tao Hway, I find this Dried Mee Hoon Kway is so-so too... =p

Reached CW's Granny House just after 1.30am... Our first and only Pit Stop where we stopped for some rest and shower. I am up to the brim with Food, so I could not sleep. I ended up lying on the bed with QH... chatting till 2.30am and took a quick shower. By 3am, everyone was up and the guys checked on their Cars before we hit the road. =)

Stopped by a Prata Shop for some Kopi and Teh..

The Prata Shop is pretty crowded at 3.30am... Noticed that everyone is sitted facing 1 direction...

That is coz... there is a Soccer Match on. Guys... *roll eye*

After the Kopi Break, we hit the road again... Back to the North South Highway... CW took the picture and according to him... that spot of light is the Moon. Anyway... you will NEVER believe where is our next Destination... -_-

MacDonald's... serious!! I'm not kidding. Fried Rice really took care of us real well for this trip, feeding us every alternate hour. Its around 5+ in the morning, barely 4 hours after the Dried Mee Hoon Kway and the Teh is still somewhere in me.

A rather empty MacDonald's at 5 plus in the morning...

*sigh* Shared a Muffin with QH... The guys will not rest till we had a bit of food...

Everyone is goggy with only 1 hour of rest... And oh, this is the Couple's table.

And where's our next Stop... Genting! We reached Genting at 7am, the Sun is a little late that day... so I did not manage to see it climbing up the Mountain. *Disappointed* The moment I got out of the car, its 'cold de loh'. -_-" I under-estimate the weather, and is seriously not dressed for the 17 degree climate. I wore a thin Dorothy Perkins Top with a H&M Cardi, together with a Bermudas with Black Leggings. *shudder*

Everyone made a bee-line to the Casino upon Arrival, and at 7am no shops are opened hence I also ended up at the Casino. This is the first time, I seat down on the Table and played. The whole morning, they are stuck at the ‘三只公’table. It resulted in me spending RM 50 and 3hours. Conclusion: I am not really that interested in Gamling; but still its kind of fun. QH has fun 'Diversifying' her assets and 'Analysing and Investing'. =p

QH and I left the Casino just before 10am, thinking we can do some shopping. Unfortunately, the shops are still not opened, so we stopped for a cup of Tea and Muffins at Kenny Rogers. Yupz... more food. -_-

We finished our shopping around 12+, and thought its time for us to proceed to our next destination... Called up the rest, who are still in the Casino and arranged to meet at the Cars... Saw the part of 6 walking towards us grinning from ear to ear... the Guys all walked away from extra cash from Casino. Then...

*thunder and lightning*

ST realized he lost his Car Keys... O_O

With the 4 Girls watching over the Cars, the Guys went back to the Casino to try find the keys... And just as expected... they cant find the keys... *sigh*

At 2pm... the Guys worked out a plan. We had a quick Lunch of a RM 1 Nasi Lemak that Fried Rice had bought before we go up Genting... And its decided that we split up into 3 Group... 1 Group will stay behind and watch over the Car, 1 Group to proceed back to Singapore to retrieve the Spare Key, 1 Group to go down to KL and wait (and shop) at a Shopping Centre.

*sigh*

So... I am in the 'wait-and-shop-at-Pavilion' Group.

Thus far.. its All Food and No Rest. And with the Lost Key issue, we totally have no mood to shop, despite the Prada at Pavilion has quite a interesting collection. =p QH called her Dad, who dropped by to pick us up. Before that, we stopped by Crystal Jade for some Desert... *sigh* more food. -_-

QH's Dad house is a 20min car trip away from Pavilion... We stayed at his house 2 years back when we were at KL for our Annual Shopping Trip... Slight modifications was done to the House, but still as pretty as I remembered it... I Love the Koi Pond covered with Glass which served as a Platform in the Living Room...

Finally, by 6+ in the evening... After much phone calls and help from all sectors, we manage to find a solution for the Lost Key. A Mechanic managed to force open the car door, disabled the car alarm system, removed the steering wheel lock thingie, did something to the 'starter', and force-start the car.

CW and ST finally got the car started and meet up with us at 8pm at KL... QH's Dad bought us to this Road Side Cze Char Store... Yupz, Road Side Store again...

We reached slightly before 9pm... But look at the crowd!

The Road Side Kitchen churnning out all the Yummy Food...

I think they are famous for their Steam Fish Head, which unfortunately... all the 'Young People' at the table dont really know how to appreciate... But nevertheless, its a Yummy Meal!

After the meal, we bid our Goodbye and made our way back to Singapore. At 10pm on a Sunday night, I am still at KL... The thought still freaked me out. We are over 300km away from Johor. -_-" QH ordered ST and CW to maintain a speed of 110km/hr and we manage to reached Johor at 1.40am!

I am... tired.

We went back to Sengkang, to meet up with the Group who returned earlier to retrieve the keys... The Guys are Real Gentleman, they could have retire early upon reaching Singapore, but they hang around Sengkang and wait for our Arrival instead... Good Friends QH have!

Reached home around 2.30am... And with this, it ended my 2D1N Virgin Road Trip to M'sia. =)
